The Destruction Derby TC for Carmageddon 2
This mod is a Total conversion for the game Caramgeddon 2. The mod features all Destruction derby 1 and 2 series content and places it in the carmageddon engine. Both games are old and require low polygon models to run smooth. The Carmageddon engine however has a more dynamic damage system and combined with the very cool replay function this mod will give you the ultimate destruction derby experience!

the mod is currently still in testing phase, but feel free to download the first testversion and start playing!

Finally, after a LONG time of waiting for some people, I took the time to look into the issue of the checkpoints in League 2. They are fixed now, so people can continue playing the mod and get to those awesome dd2 tracks!
The download will be available in the download section, once the file has been approved. I suggest you download the new package, and install it over the old one ;)

I was just complaining about Carmageddon's lack of generic cars to my friend when I stumbled upon this

I have a problem completing Season 2 because 2 of the tracks don't work properly. To complete a lap you have to get to the checkpoints. Now, on 2 of the tracks in Season 2 the checkpoints are out of the map, which I can't get to. So I can't possibly complete anymore races. I love this mod and play it every day but I can't get any further!
Also, on Season 1 the bowl level has a glitch. Sometimes you will spawn out of the map or the cars don't spawn in the correct place. One more thing. What's up with the clock? The time increases when you smash into a car. Sorry but I love this game but at the moment i'm not going to play untill these problems have been fixed.

ouch, that is a real shame! I thought I had checked and double checked all the race settings. I currently do not have much time to edit the mod and fix it, so I suggest you either cheat your way further or wait for me to fix it. I will get on it as soon as life will allow me to ;)

I get an error that this is the Western European version and it can't run on my machine.

can you tell me what you did. You know it is a complete package? No original game files needed.
where are you from? I have never heard of this problem in the 10 years that carmageddon exists...
United States, I used to play Carmageddon 1 and 2 with no problems but they are currently uninstalled. I ran the installer, went to the directory, and clicked on dd2c2tc loader, clicked run and it gives me "Sorry, this is the Western European version of Carmageddon II. This version cannot run on this machine. I have Vista 32-bit but what might be tripping it up is that my localization is Japanese, since that's the only way Vista can run non-western characters.
