This is quite amazing! I hate that the carmageddon community seems to be dying. This was one of the best modding communities around... among HL/CS, Unreal and some others of the age.

It looks faithfully recreated, are the physics similar too?

This would be quite impressive on a resume, are you currently employed as a game dev or something?

I miss the carmageddon community, but its hard to even get the game running on modern HW and OS. dTD was my one of my favorite sites.

You really have something going here, some great talent!

Thanks!

yes, it seems the carmageddon community has become a lot thinner over the years. There is still work done though, most of it now happening over at DEVwam ; Devwam.toshiba-3.com

The tracks are as accurate as possible. Physics are harder to recreate, as both games are quite different. However yes, I am aiming for a similar physics behaviour.

It is not that hard to run carma 1 and carma 2 on modern systems. We nowadays run carma 2 with glide wrappers as Nglide for windows 7 and Zeckenacks Glide wrapper. (provided you use the superV2 patch also found on DEVwam)

Carma 1 can be run using d3dwindower and Nglide/dosbox. (didn't test the latter one though)
actually I put some of this work on my portfolio; www.harmsollie.nl :p
