MOD is currently ON PAUSE I am not going to have enough time to work on this mod at the moment. I now realise that to do this mod entirely by myself is a huge feat and I believe to complete this mod and present something playable in a fun way I will need to give myself a few more years. I expect they will delete my mod but thats alright. I'll re add it once I make more progress and understand the Half-life 2 source code more and the Wii mote drivers.
The Dagorhir Half-life 2 mod is a conversion mod that implements the Wii driver for Half-life 2. It is based around the Dagorhir action game (http://www.dagorhir.com) and will utalize 360 degree control on all axis. Players will be able to wield axes, polearms, swords, and other medieval weapons using the Wii mote to do combat with each other as the Wiimote should be used.
The Wiimote will be required to participate in this mod. At the moment, I am just conceptualizing untill the developer of the Wiimote driver releases his drive. I do not yet have a website but plan on building on if this takes off the ground. Understand that this is just the conceptualization stage so there is alot of work to do and this may take a long time.
I will release a tech demo as soon I create the first working prototype. That is my first milestone so expect something hopefully within 5 months of the beginning of developtment.
Just wanted to inform anyone looking at this mod that small progress is being made. I'm really still having trouble with the organisation state of the mod. You should probably know that im just a programmer and have not dabbled in game developtment yet so this is a learning experience for me.
Lately I have to figure out how the whole modeling system works and i've been learning to model in XSI for the weapons to test with. Progress is coming slow but I will continue the updates.
