CrysXtreme Snowboarding is a Winter Sports modification for Crysis. In that modification, players will be able to travel a huge and very detailed snow mountains map with a lot of funny Winter Sports available like snowboarding, skiing, snowscooting,etc... The map will be multiplayer but solo too and will contain missions which could lock off many tracks with differents levels, snow parks, a sublim snow environment to discoverer for track outside, and many others cool things ... Ride in Crysis becomes CrysXtreme Snowboarding. I have decided to change the name of the mod for two reasons : the first one is that Ride in Crysis was a bit confusing and not very explicite and the second one is that the modification will now concentrate only on a Snowboarding simulation. Thats why i have made a new logo for keep this mod name change more official.
But this isn't the main reason of that new. I have been very busy last weeks and i havent been able to work like i did wish on the mod. Plus i go in vacation the 2 next weeks so the mod will be in standby at least during this period simply because i couldnt work on it. But don't worry, the mod isnt dead like u could believe it since the last update. I really found free times for continue many features of the mod whose im going to talk about now.
Firstly, like i said, i am now concentred only on the snowboarding simulation thats why i have started the snowboarder model. Its in wip yet but is on a good way. I have learned how to skin but i need now to learn rigging for start animations. I have started High poly model too as u can see.
About level design, chairlift system is almost finished, here are some pics of an example of what it looks like ingame. There are some troubles yet but i will fix them later. Work in progress yet..
About coding part, a new member "@nddos" has joined the team as coder. Its a C++ programmer and has already started to work on C++ code source of crysis for the snowboarding simulation. With him i think we coud release an alpha very soon.
I know its not a big update but i hope i could show you more medias and maybe movies of the chairlift system and of the first alpha, after my vacation. So stay tuned and thx to all readers and watchers of CrysXtreme Snowbaording.

Btw what I meant about the snowboarding mod was a mod that was on crymod a few months ago. I wasn't sure if it was the same thing.
Anyway, have you considered making it so you earn money (prestige) if you do certain missions? Then you can buy new things with the money.
ho i see what other mod you are talking about but its an editor mod and not really a nice simulation, mine will be a total conversion and there wasn't only snowboarding.
About money, it's not a bad idea.I wasn't thinking about it but sure there was a way to win some new content at each successfull mission. Btw thx for the comment.
