Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game and one of the first mods for this game. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.

While the model looks really good, the skin is ... well not contra texture standards. It's blurry, odd detailed and looks old and rusty - much more than it should. And the claws look as if they have no texture at all ( it's the same white color non-textured models use ).
There are 3 'Texture' standards in Contra: EA/Public=typically crap.
Creator=good, Woody=Better than everyone else.
This to me looks like a Public model or a model salvaged from another game.

I have to agree with most people that have commented, the model is... decent, although I don't think it fits personally.
The skin could really use a re-do on this one.

for those who haven't played Descent 3, the model they're using, is Thresher, one of the infected robots you have to deal with after a certain point
still, nice touch, Tailbot would have been better here, consider he has a gun in a mobile tail portion, but Thresher works
I do like that you included several units from Descent 3 in the mod, i.e. Stormtroopers, Squid drones, Cyclone missiles and now Thresher here, but wouldn't Thresher be better as a main combat drone?
In the game Thresher is quite nasty and will kill you easily with its claws and fusion cannon if you're not careful and he was always one of my favourites. To see Thresher demoted to builder is kind of sad. But hey, maybe I'll change it back to the old unit and turn Thresher into a combat unit myself.
