Welcome to Conflicts of Eriador! A Medieval II submod that focuses on, as the name says, the ongoing conflicts in Eriador, as opposed to the many mods who cover the whole of Middle-Earth. The mod is set in the year 1300, Third Age, when Angmar begins its slow rise to great power. The main focus of the mod is both this faction, as well as the Kingdoms of Arnor, namely Rhudaur, Arthedain and Cardolan, yet the other factions were not neglected. Moria, still in the hands of the Dwarves, stands mighty and proud, ever clashing with the dark forces of the Misty Mountains and Gundabad. The Elves, still numerous and travel the lands. Gondor, the giant of the south, gazes north with a watchful eye as it safeguards the road against the Daen Skaduriachta, the Dhai Uarioch and the Gainnhalthas. With many new units, models, map mechanics and more!

Carn Dûm

News 7 comments

Greetings and salutations! We welcome you all to the grand reveal of the great fortress of Carn Dûm battle map, made by our amazing mapper WK!

Carn Dûm is the dark and foreboding fortress of the evil realm of Angmar and the seat of its king. It is located at the north-western end of the Mountains of Angmar, at the far end of the Misty Mountains, and it is the sole settlement the Angmar player will begin the game with.

1

You, leading the realm of Angmar as the Witch King himself, have been sent north on a mission to destroy the split and weakened Northern Dunedain Kingdoms. No one knew about the existence of Angmar, and to reflect that the Dark faction will start off as neutral with all others. Carefully gauge the activities at your borders, the diplomatic relations of your neighbours, and patiently build up your forces until it is the perfect time to strike.

2

Angmar will consist out of three subfactions in this mod; the Angmarim, the Hillmen of Rhudaur and the Orcs of Mount Gram. Each subfaction will bring unique strengths (and weaknesses) into the game. Each will require their own lodgings and infrastructure within your might fortress, and this naturally means that each subfaction will have its unique building chain to be constructed within the layered stronghold.

The most elite of your armies will reside in the inner tier of the fortress, up high, close to the Witch King's bastion. The Angmarim reside there, the sharp and cold steel of your armies. It is them who will advance in orderly ranks, heavily armed and highly disciplined, as they march on to deal the killing blow to your foe. Under the banner of the Iron Crown they march to spread the Witch King's rule far and wide.

The more valued of your thralls, ergo, the human ones, live in the middle layer of the fortress. The Hillmen of Rhudaur, made strong by the hardships of their homeland and its hills, are valuable assets. When the moment is not yet dire enough to send in your Angmarim, but your Orcs are not up to the task, these are the men you call upon!

At the bottom part of the pecking order, living in the mountain caves within or the outskirts of the fortress, you find the Orcs of Mount Gram. Their dwellings are simple, used as they are to living in the cold climate under brutal circumstances. Under the Witch King's watchful eye, these creatures will fight to the death for their master, for they know the consequences should they act otherwise.

More is to come, and as we continue working on the mod we shall continue to post unit models, faction info and other articles whenever we wrap up a more sizeable chunk of work!

We hope to see you all in our Discord server where you can find a summary, more pictures and add your own suggestions. Until then, stay well! Discord.gg

First of all, thank you.
As to answer your questions. I will be posting a new article soon. Keep an eye out for that :)
And as for the release date, it's really hard to give a time for release but if everything goes well we might have a test version in 2024 maybe.

I used google translate to understand your question and if translate is right you are asking for the release. Which is unknown. You have to be patient and wait.
