btw are that javelin on the AT-infantry. If they are, are they gonna be animated the way a javelin flies or does that exceed engine capability? That would be really awesome
We are working on Vertical fire, but there are some problems we have to bypass to get it working properly, since we can't make new projectile paths we have to custom craft the projectile animation.

The infantry need some work, Not in graphics or anything but the idea of them standing like across a street shooting at them for like a minute with only 1 dead in the open was kind of funny. Don't get me wrong the mod looks great but I would think it would be a bit more awesome if the infantry combat wasn't a 10 minute stand off with only 1 dead. Please don't take my criticism to harsh I was only just pointing out a minor problem.
No worries, we don't take such criticism personal. Unfortunately we cannot make it right for everyone. There is the community which likes realistic gameplay, like for example in Blitzkrieg Mod. And then there is the other community who likes the gameplay as it is in the original.
We are aiming to provide a mod that is suitable for casual gaming, but also for competitive environments like tournaments. The original gameplay has proven it's potential in competitive multiplayer over several years now, which is the reason we are going the vanilla CoH way. Not the realism way.
Giving weapons realistic damage would shift the balance into a whole different direction and we think it is not possible to have competitive, fair games in multiplayer this way.
Best ways to incorporate realism is to do a combination of the following:
-Enlarge maps
-Scale down units, unit speeds and realistic loading time per volley
-Lengthen engagement ranges (ei. greater damage (vehicles) or loss of life (infantry) as distance between opposing units decrease.)
-Another realistic concept would be units having to back to an ammunition depot or captured forward barracks to reload. Then tanks and units couldn't camp adding real strategy to the game. (ei. like the planes needing the airfield to reload in C&C games)

if you havent already fixed the javelin's vertical bug maybe you could code it like a nebelwerfer rocket since they both work similar ??? i could be wrong by a long shot lol
Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this wouldn't work. There will be problems with targeting and projectile speed.

i have always wanted someone to make a FFA match type with this game so you can fight the same teams (i.e. PE vs PE, US vs US)

If the top attack proves to be too much of a problem for coding the Javelin, you can always use the direct fire mode (Javelins have top attack, and direct fire in real life). Just an idea for a fall back plan in case the top attack firing mode gets too hectic.
