A massive rip in the in the very fabric of reality was caused inadvertently by the Scrins use of their rift weapon. This anomaly would eventually be known has the Dimensional rift. The effects were devastating, the time line was shattered and suddenly people, events, vehicles even buildings suddenly ceased to exist. Suddenly both GDI & Nod had vastly altered armies. Old technology was mixed in with the new, briefly the war was suspended, has both armies struggled to come to terms with both their loses and their new additions. And what of the Scrin? completely unaffected! It was 3 weeks after the dimensional rift that the first skirmish occurred. Nod forces destroyed a relief convoy that was moving to assist a small GDI outpost, all personnel were lost. Belatedly GDI declared war on Nod, the tools of war may have change, but Tiberium was still present, Kane still alive and mankind's future still uncertain.

Very much seems to. Much approval from this end.
The details on the side are...well *******, awesome, that's what.

And it doesn't have that annoying sweep.

I don't like this kind of obelisk. The work you've done is very good, and i know that's based on C&C95, but i prefer TS one. Here I find it too blocky.
Just my opinion =)

But everyone and their dog are using the later models.

And even if they weren't suffering from overuse, I still have to say I find the old one better in the "Giant imposing tower of doom," perspective.

And it seems to be the tallest thing around, which is a nice bonus.

I agree with bobbymax. And since this is a mod about the entire history of the tiberian universe, why not use the upgraded obelisk design in cnc4. The game itself may not be cool, but many of it's assets have really good designs.

I do not own C&C4, and have no intention of owning it.

Nowhere do I claim that this mod is of the entire history of the Tiberian universe (when I first planned this mod there was no C&C4).

I agree with Bobby. Although it is very detailed, the blocky form puts me off.

To make it more appealing, all you need to do is round the edges slightly, that should reduce the blockyness.

This blocky Obelisk appeals to me, reminds me of... Obelisks.

People do not have to like it, but I can assure you that it is not going change.

By the way, is it the tallest Nod structure or is the temple bigger?

It is exactly the same height (measured to the tip of the crystal) has the C&C3 Obelisk.
