A massive rip in the in the very fabric of reality was caused inadvertently by the Scrins use of their rift weapon. This anomaly would eventually be known has the Dimensional rift. The effects were devastating, the time line was shattered and suddenly people, events, vehicles even buildings suddenly ceased to exist. Suddenly both GDI & Nod had vastly altered armies. Old technology was mixed in with the new, briefly the war was suspended, has both armies struggled to come to terms with both their loses and their new additions. And what of the Scrin? completely unaffected! It was 3 weeks after the dimensional rift that the first skirmish occurred. Nod forces destroyed a relief convoy that was moving to assist a small GDI outpost, all personnel were lost. Belatedly GDI declared war on Nod, the tools of war may have change, but Tiberium was still present, Kane still alive and mankind's future still uncertain.

I like the way the mod is developing this is cool i only need an A10 strike for GDI now :P
Thought it was going to replace the Vertigo Bomber, but I just realized the Banshee already does. Model looks fantastic, though (Never really liked the Armageddon Bomber EA made). Can't wait to try out Release 7, keep it up!
It isnt raptor? :D
Look it up.
It's an F-22 Raptor . . . imo this seems more fitting of a fighter jet or small scale bomber, than to replace that big fancy Armageddon Bomber which drops mines and the fuel air bomb. Very pretty looking though.
It is not a Raptor, I initially made the same mistake.
I knew that very few people would be happy seeing a 'Raptor' (actually the precursor to the F-22) reduced to mine dropping duty, but that is the way it is going to be.
It only replaces the Armageddon bomber for the mine drop.
The Y- indication generaly gets used during the prototype/development phase. You could call the YF-22 the alpha or internal version of the F-22 Raptor....The YF-22(lockheed) basicly beat Northrops YF-23 in the development race (commision kickbacks ftw by Lockheed/Martin).
Resulting in a expensive and currently embarresing contract for the production of the f-22 for the forseeable future of the US airforce.
The YF showed sharper physical characteristics...where to f22 looks more 'polished' in a way of speaking.
The Tiberian dawn fmv showed a next gen fighter, and generaly it got confused with Northrops yf-23...but it does idd look more like the yf-22 early designs.
Anyway, enough with the geek talk...really good model and texture...shame it will only poop mines. :)
Ever thought about updating the airfuel/vapor bomb to look/fly like a jdam/jsow...might fit the image of the more modernised yf-23 frame?
I am removing that support power.
However when I was thinking of changing the delivery aircraft, I was thinking of the C130.
Well Nod's Tiberium Dawn airstrip did drop off vehicles by means of heavy airlift. So a C130 from that era would fit..altho i thought NOD used the Ukrainian counterpart, not sure tho. The Antonov AN 26. Might be something to consider.
