Eastern Front is a free mod for Company of Heroes. Following the ethos of mimicking a Relic Entertainment expansion pack, Eastern Front has succeeded in adding two full new factions, the Soviet Red Army and the German Ostheer, packed with unique and exciting units to the existing armies - a feat never before achieved in the Company of Heroes world.
Our panzer III will be the main tank for Ostheer and it starts with the 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 cannon as main gun, it can have two different upgrades:
* Long Barrel: It gives the panzer III the 5 cm KwK 39 L/60, which enhances their AT role.
* Flamethrower: The panzer III is now equipped with the 14 mm Flammenwerfer, which increases their effectiveness against infantry and garrisoned units.

By the way, can they stand against the T-34 and M4 Sherman? (IN GAME)
I doubt it unless the Panzer III flanked them (it could shoot much faster with a 50mm round over a 75mm round). I almost feel this tank will even be underpowered unless it is made cheaper.
This is coming from someone who loves the Panzer III and can't wait to see it implemented.
It has a L60 upgrade, which makes it penetrate T34 armor up close.
Yes, I'm aware of this. I'm probably imagining this too much like RL, because the Eastern Front team doesn't have to be realistic, they can make the penetration almost guaranteed (like the Hotchkiss gun upgrade).
Well it cannot be RL but the feeling of fighting at the EF can be made :)
But it can handle the M4 I think.
Give him the Short barrel 7,5cm and Schürzen plz.

We have decided to give it the flamethrower to make it different than a stubby(which will work like the PE stubby), that's why it won't be used in the normal tech tree.
What happened to the canister shot ability you had in mind for the Panzer 3?

It used to have tungsten rounds, but it was removed from it(same for the Panther).
