In year 2047, the alien crystal element - commonly known as "Tiberium" - began blanketing the Earth. As war continued over the past century between the European Union (EU) and the Pan Asian Coalition (PAC), Tiberium fields continued to grow, changing the course of Nature forever. The year is now 2142, and the dawn of a new Ice Age has thrown the world into a panic - a global threat that nobody has ever expected. In "Command & Conquer 2142", the two military superpowers will collide - in an epic battle for the last habitable lands. The math of this war is simple: Some will live, most will die.
Hello to our Moddb friends & visitors! :) Remember to check out these screenshots and our latest news article update, to be released later today! I'm sure you loyal BF2142 fans out there wouldn't need any help to remember the latest units from EU, right? :P
We hope you'll like this set of screenshots as much as we do! :D
And remember! CncWorld.org has an exclusive CNC2142 interview! Check that out too!
It WILL be able to spawn Aircraft like it does in the actual game, right?
yup ;D but there will be certain things to balance it out, stops people from mass spamming air vehicles over enemy bases really~
I see, you really have done a great job. Thanks for mixing the things up! :D
omg they new transports look cool as hell
just like how i wouldve done it
Thank you! ^^
A few things: First, great Great GREAT work!!! Second, if the titan is spamming aircraft will it still spam infantry like in the game and which structure/massive unit, will spam the tank, apc and buggies? Also will the airguns and ground gun will actually shoot. Furthermore, will it still have a shield and will we have acess to missile silo? And finally will we be able to infiltrate the enemy titan to blow it up? Like you could "garrison" infantry in the titan to protect it and then the enemy would send some assault guys to kill the infantry and send some engineer (rocket-equipped marine not engineer like in Cnc) to accelerate the destruction of the enemy titan.
Hahaha thanks!! Wow, you got a bunch of questions there, I'll try to answer them here ^_^"
- as of right now, the titan only spawns gunships and air transports, though limits will be placed to prevent aircraft base rape hahaha :P
- land vehicles will be constructed at war factories, air vehicles are generally made at the airfields, while infantry units will be traned at the barracks, so on.
- all the guns on the Titan work fine, 100% as the way they functioned in the original BF2142 :)
- yup, the hanger shield will be there. as for the body shield, it is only there for Titan mode and, of course, that would mean silos are available ;D the "silo theory" behind CNC2142's Titan mode is essentially the same, stand close to missile silos to capture them ^_^
- we are not going to talk about Titan assaults just yet :P
To prevent aircraft spam, it should have a limit, like 10 transports and 5 gunships, and infantry should be able to be "trained" (Magically created) from the Titan, like in the original BF2142.
they don't match, the choppers look like an extremely different style to the flying thing
dude.. who the hell cares? It's fine for me, just be happy they actually managed to put it in game.. that thing looks beautiful..
Yes, but that's how it's supposed to be.
Yeah the titan has a rather different style from the rest of the air vehicles, but thats how the EU Titan looks in the original BF2142, and we're staying with the original design for the die-hard Battlefield fans out there :p
and I luv u for it! =D
i think it supposed to be larger you know....
Could be larger, but it might block the screen too much.. we'll enlarge it a little, and it should be great then!
Can't you guys just be happy with it this way? What you want it to occupy the entire screen so you don't see the battlefield? Jeez some people just can't appreciate other's work.. "I want it MY way *rants like a baby*"
Then do it yourself.
Em, just a question (or suggestion?) Will be the hangar and whole titan shield visible? Coz the model and everything around it is purely awesome, but it lacks that detail, the shield. That shield just enlarged the fearsomeness of a Titan.
(Just my opinion)
Wow!
What would be cool for the titan is if, if there were a hanger shield, the shield colour is the colour of the player's. This would then make it a lot easier to identify which titan belongs to who in the game.
But that would take away the "feeling" of the titan.. I mean EU titans have blue shields.. PAC titans have red shields... wouldn't it simply be better to expand the areas that show the team colors?
lolwut? How would changing the colour of the titan hanger shield destroy the feeling of the game? Since this will be an RTS mod it is crucial you know which unit is an ally, an enemy or one of your own. It would be confusing if there were 3 EU titans flying close to each other (in an online match/skirmish) and they all belonged to different players.
Changing the shield colour would be more useful for identifying player units than adding a few more colour strips on the sides of the titan.
I mean, destroy the feeling of the titan.
To be absolutely honest, I doesn't seem very offensive to me... something more aggressive and 'bristling with guns' would have been nice. Still, it isn't a bad model.
all of the guns are at the bottom :P
Yeah, heres a picture of the bottom of the titan.

You clearly never tried to capture a silo with one of those giant things floating slowly above you..
A little suggestion: Tone down the red on the specular map, it will make it look less bright, other than that, looks awesome :)
thanks for the tip mate ;)
Because.. ugh.. the titan.. the EU titan IS blue and the PAC titan IS red.. it's kind of.. I don't know.. to me is a sacrilege!!
But ah well, I can live with it, perhaps in the end it will prove to be even "funnier" that way.
have you guys already created a PAC titan? and will infantry be able to purchase different weapons(like recon squads using the standard sniper or buying the lambert carbine etc)?
Awesome units, but as has been said, the gunships and transports contrast a lot to the Titan. Could you lighten the gunships' and transports' main body colour?
Just a suggestion, but how about making the transports already contain one infantry squad when built? This way, the Titan essentially can make infantry as well.
