What would happen if in 1988, Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev was assassinated? CNC Fallout is a total conversion mod for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars that postulates this very question.
As part of the development of v0.3, many of our older unit designs - especially those fictional units in the mod - have been redesigned and remodelled to better reflect my vision of how they would look and behave in the real world.
The Australian Redback is such a unit. Now remodelled, the unit features a single belt fed and recoil-equipped metal storm array, whilst new communication and radar equipment suited to a unit with anti air has been incorporated.
...and in other news, CNC Fallout is back in business.
Great! Cant wait for other news!
Nice to hear!
awesum \(ˆ˚ˆ)/
finally :D waited so long for this to happen
Nice to see mod is still alive, I am curious about new version.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Oh wow. Thats suprising and interesting.
Aah, only that I maybe will miss the old one badass twin metal array Redback a little bit. xD
Old Redback looked little bit more unique than Lazarus,APC and Crocodile.
It also probably means you are removing ADF MSA.
And Redback gains with improved vision range also the stealth/camouflage detection?
This is a purely cosmetic change to the unit. Its actual functionality remains the same.
it technically would do less damage with this model seeing as its only got one system instead of two. I like the old design but looking at the old design compared to the new one was a good idea to redesign. The original just looks like a take that has had its gun taken off its turret and then 2 systems placed on top. Keep up great works
Good to see you're back! I must admit, I like this new design. There was certainly nothing wrong with the old one, but this one just makes a bit more sense in terms of design. Curious to see what else you've got up your sleeve. Maybe a similar treatment for the Taipan?
Whilst the original design was quite nostalgic for me (it was the first completed unit model back in 2007!), in reality the design would be completely unworkable as the recoil from the gun would literally break the turret arm. IMO it looked a little silly next to real-world units.
The new unit design IMO is far superior and definitely more detailed, whilst still easily distinguishable in game.
nice
