This Mod totally changes Serious Sam 2 to feel more "serious". It is not directly the re-creation of SS1 FE/SE - The Main-Features are: - more than 22 new Enemies: Re-creation of all Enemies in SS1 FE/SE + Ugh-Zan III (last boss) and Huge Lava-Golem -Weapons changed: To feel like Serious Sam 1 Weapons. Big, Hard and unforgiveable. -All new Special-Effects: Explosions, Gore etc -All new Sounds: Alot original sounds from Serious Sam 1 -new game-options: Enemies-Multiplicator & Spawn-Time-Reducing (recommend to play the original maps & Selectable Weapon-Speed (comfortable setting or true original speed from SS1) -about 20 new Weather-effects for Levels that looked so plain and should have them: Rain, Snow, Lightings, Flying Leaves, Ashe-Rain, Dust-Clouds, Fog-Clouds Ball-Lightings, Ambience Sounds, Thunders, Metroids, Insects.. -2 new maps: Arcade Map 01 & Huge Enemies Test-map with +1650 Enemies -All the feel of the Game is modified so hard to be like the game was developed for...

ooo cake? :) They look great.

"I could fight 80 of this Things at the Time and had no Problem."

Try upping it until you start to slow down. Im interested to see how high it can go. I think the engine could support countless enemies simple because of its clever detail-distance adjustment it can make.

Ok to give the exact Answer:

80 was running smooth, like real smooth.

and at 100-120 (i think more the 120) it started to get a dam ugly slow down.

But Serious Editor got a extremly detailed performance statistic. So i can analyze whats using the most power. But i already know graphics are making ca 70% of CPU demands in SS2. The AI itself could easy handle.

Its always paradox to speak of "AI" in a Sam Game ;)

Oh Right =D That is a pretty good machine considering its holding up against high detail enemies.

I got a 2.6GHz dual core with a Geforce 8800 GTS. My computer can run pretty much most games on Very High, the ones that can't are the most recent games like Crysis, Serious Sam 2 actuallly slows down a tad suprisingly, might be due to lag on Multiplayer.

Anyways! So what are you planning? 100-110 Enemies? Or use that extreme detail peformance statistic?

Looking good though, i loved that 300 spoof lol.

Well i can say that Serious Sam II has horrible Online Programming. Serious Sam 1 was playable even with a old-style Modem. Thats was something special about it and many People playing online.

Your 8800GTS is slightly better than mine i would say.
(Well its pretty sure.. but anyway)

I played Crysis.. it was playable, but - reloading and freezing all the time. I bought 1 GB more RAM and now i can play smooth with >medium Details, still some fun with the Demo.

I'am planning i guess, about 100 Enemies should be possible, After the NPC's die.
The Most processing Power is used for rendering the Model, i could hack the Enemies LOD level to keep on level 2. But i prefer some visual against masses.

I wanna remind you the Enemie Multiplicator. You can simply activate it anytime when you play the Map and set LOD level on lowest + Shadows. I think this would help alot.

Description

This is a early simple Test.

I could fight 80 of this Things at the Time and had no Problem.

Having 80 of these around Everywhere, moving around randomly and making this Sound of a big Herd of giant Bugs, really gives you a Feeling of Something big going on.
