C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour. The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.
The infamous sniper has been upgraded to a higher quality standard set by Rise of the Reds.

Actually those are Vanilla, Toxin and Demo Jarmen.
The front one is Demo Jarmen, you can tell with the explosives in his back. Toxin Jarmen is -obviously- the one with the toxin barrels. And the last one is used by vGLA, Stealth and Salvage

Can we expect reworks like these for other hero units too? I know US Barton already has different loadout variations and so on, but this particular variation of Jarmen implies you might be interested in reworking hero variations even further. What can we expect next? Superweapon Barton having enforcer-like plasma shot for alt fire mode? Armor Lotus being able to hijack enemy vehicles?
Those are purely visual. Other infantry models are getting updated, but no new ability, aside Toxin Jarmen and his clouds of death.

Does this mean the technical and quads can get their updated models from ROTR? It's a lot better than those old ZH models.
No, just infantry. The reason is the superior quality of ROTR models which will make them look alien among the ShW models which are not that good.
