I tried to make the Chinese soldier more equal to his American counterpart so I gave him a protective kit. I wanted to give him an ambiguous anti-hero feel. Although it is just a minor change. Followers of this mod may recognise how the protective kit design was first used... and also what things inspired its appearance.
