BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.

Question, I had seen you say this cannot be assisted? If this the is the case, apart from beauty, why would i ever build it? As i can always build a czar with builders much faster that 2mins.

It currently can't be assisted. I'm not sure if it's because it's too big, or if it's because the platform moves. I might be able to get workarounds for that though.

As for why if I can't change that, I have two main reasons and a third less important reason:

Automation: You can niether set engineers to infinite build nor have the built CZARs automatically move to a position, or patrol or whatever.

Adjacency bonuses: This is only relevant before you get a Paragon, but you can reduce the build cost of the CZARs to next to nothing if you surround it with resource buildings.

If you have less than 6 engineers for the task it's actually quicker to build this first than to build the CZAR directly, and it takes 12 engineers to match its build speed overall.

All that said, I have a few ideas for workarounds, and I haven't finished testing with the unit yet, so its balance may change significantly.

Addendum: It was because the platform was moving that they couldn't assist. I have changed it so that now it doesn't start moving until a unit is 80%, and if a new unit is started within 3 ticks (ie, if its on inf build, or has a queue) then it will keep the platform fully raised.

This way you still get the animation, and the only part you can't assist is the last 20% of the first unit constructed.

In short, your concerns have been addressed, and you can now endgame assist-spam CZARs with this.

Hi,
I noticed that The Aeon Experimental Battleship, nicknamed the Tempest remained blocked in the factory after his construction
