BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.
Ohhh ****! I think i just ****** myself.... THX!!!
It's crazy, I was a teenager when you had your first release and now I'm in my 30's.
Same.
That's so crazy, I was in middle school when I first discovered this mod, and now I have a bachelor's degree.
I was 15 and now 22.. Quite insane indeed. But its an excellent mod. Thank you for continuing to work on this fantastic game.
That's mad, I was 26 when I discovered this mod and now I'm 26.
does this work on the Steam version?
Yes.
Is this compatible with the latest version of FAF?
You may wish to use the Github version for that. It should be mostly compatible, but there's a lot of ongoing changes to FAF currently, so things can change rapidly.
Why you dont update mod in FAF?
small issue with a minor mod, when I activate both Brewan and the X4 unit cap mod nothing loads on the map or the UI, is there a workaround or will this be fixed in a later update?
Having looked at the x4 unit cap mod, it's because it doesn't check it's not trying to multiply a nil value. The fix is modify the x4 mod.
Good evening Developer Balthassar, Seems like Forged Alliance (FA) Foever can no longer allow cityscape to function. No random cities were generated or when i have it under occupied slots, it wouldn't appear. Neither was the empty slots filled with Civilian structures take place. This happened a few days back.
Also, for vanilla there isn't options to select the conditions that are part of cityscape (civilians or local garrisons etc) option.
I believe everyone would love to carry out urban warfare on all map types other than maps like Loki or City of two islands.
Otherwise, i have one heck of a great time with this DLC.
For your perusal please. Much thanks.
For the lobby options in vanilla you need the Sorian lobby enhancement. The FAF stuff is on my radar.
Thank you for everything Mr Balthassar.
It was my best time playing this game. Much so with your mods on,; participating in urban warfare tactics to complement the already immersive experience.
Hoped to be able to defend a self generating castle / Towns and its likes, on FA Forever (FAF) against invading experimentals. A worthy cause than just getting supremacy.
Hoped that you could come up with an algorithm that always stays compatible with the ever updating FAF servers. So that it minimizes your effort to keep in pace with the patches.
I will download the Sorian Lobby enhancement in the meantime for vanilla plays as i take out local militia / militants.
Sincerely enjoying your fruits of labor :) you have my thanks and thank you for replying :)
Edit: Enjoying the lobby enhancement on vanilla as we speak.
Accessed the wiki and it loaded the main page, but after trying to click one of the units for information all pages now show as 'Forbidden'?
It's technically public, but it can be a bit weird if you're not signed in.
I have a problem with the sound. After a few minutes it disappears and from time to time it appears for a few seconds and disappears again. It's not my speakers fault, they work fine.
Sound issues are usually a vanilla issue related to the game not supporting surround sound, which OS's tend to default to these days even if you only have 2 speakers.
