Trying hard not to scream.
Mind racing as she is struggling, grocery shopping list still clutched in her hand, but this strange sensation is coming on so quickly now.
Bones revolting. Skin stretching to fit something else. No way off this island. No cure for what she is now feeling. Gives up fighting it. The world gradually unfocuses.... and then it's okay.
Floating on screams as she passes the old church, people running everywhere. Bites a kid who's Sarah's age, it's okay now. She wonders how everything suddenly came to be so okay, but soon forgets the question. Her fevered brain would not understand the answer anyway. She goes off to hunt.
It's May the 19th, 2006 and the small island town of Boone, Michigan, is quickly coming to an end. This special feeling is spreading, you see, spreading everywhere. Soon, a lot of people are going to feel really okay.
This town has become a bullethole, monsters are roaming freely on Main street. Phones are down after the storm yesterday. All bets are off. There is no escape from this island, and no way to call for help. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, except you are the fish. Try not to scream.
