Back on Track

Better than ever, Black Copper has been put back into full gear over at the Dead-Risen.com studio. Currently, I'm developing a brand new story line, as well as mapping as I go on. Currently there's two out of who knows how many planned locations. The first, is an old, abandonned clinic, which was still under construction. Its eerie lighting and questionable lack of inhabitants strikes many nerves and helps set a mood to the entire game. This dark mood is then lightened up with the second map, which is a rather nice little hotel on the same block.

Currently, I'm not too sure where everything is going, whether this is taking place in a city, or in a small town, but my direction is shooting for a game that takes place on a single block, wherever it is. The main character will be chasing someone as an act of revenge. Along the way, the player will encounter things not worth encountering. The game is going to contrast good and evil, each location will mirror the last and upcoming location, i.e. the Clinic is a dark and deserted hell-hole, while the Hotel level is a neutral, rather safe place.

BIG IDEA :D
What do you guys think of the idea of contacting the leaders of the hl2 zombie mods that have died, and ask them to donate there work to A:
Zombie Community Project -content made by the community For the community mod. This project could Progress big time having many people contribute there work. How? simply by having a forum where they can post there work and have the community vote for it in a thread Such as:
Should my content go in mod?
1. YES
2. NO
3. Needs work

And so we would have the community leaders approve/manage this mod with the submitted ideas/maps/models
Releasing A patch every quarter of the year. (every quarter so it pushes people to work in the mod by adding or patching stuff, knowing tons of people are waiting for)
All the zombie mods that I've seen have 3 Main Gameplay modes which are NPC zombies with game modes of:
1.Survive from the zombies (run/hide/barricade)
2.Elimination (must kill all zombies in an area)
3.Escape (helicopters/vehicles/)
I'm sure this would catch the attention of all the zombie fans out there! :D
