Very excellent mod 9/10
I cant stop moving forward help
I agree with FlippedOutKyrii, this really has that classic feeling. I especially like how creative many of the elements are, like that physics pontoon in the caves which had to be manually unmoored from it's dock with the gravity gun.
What fun! Play this mod!
I didn't expect something that was so entertaining. You came up with all sorts of unique modifications to traditional gameplay. This mod looked like it took a lot of work. I've played a tremendous amount of HL mods, but have never felt the need to comment. This mods is the exception. Great work!
With the limited use of props and greater emphasis on level design, This felt like a great throwback to OG Mods such as Mistake of Pythagoras, Coastline to Atmosphere and Rock 24.
That being said, the racing challenges really sucked and the ending was really hard to figure out so I noclipped the rest of the way out of frustration. It also had a lot of weird ammo and health placements and I never ran low on any supplies.
Still, I can't deny it's got a lot of charm going for it and seeing a mod touch on that Nostalgic Golden Age of HL2 modding is a real treat for someone like me. Awesome job!
Very well-made mod. Visually it has a personality of its own, and the gameplay is enjoyable. I did get stuck in some areas, didn't know what to do, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Good work!
A very beautiful and immersive mod, varied and fun.
But there are some bugs that can block you, some random, which I only noticed by playing the levels several times, like these:
***************S P O I L E R**************
- at the end of the first level the truck doesn't start;
- the man doesn't open the red door despite elbow grease;
- the G-man doesn't appear when triggered at the end of the mushroom level to keep you going;
- Lily doesn't follow the player and doesn't reach the lava lake.
These can be solved by reloading the level (even if the first time you could run around for hours looking for the solution) but there is one, in Epicenter level, not random but structural, in my opinion:
if you don't reach the platform before the metal walls close, when gravity decreases, you can't continue.
It would be better either to leave a way out, or to end up in "Mission failed".
Here a short video to explain what I mean:
Drive.google.com
BTW at the beginning of the same level, it's very difficult to see the plug through the combine shield, without using the flashlight (the first time I had to use noclip to go on).
It's also strange, as already reported by others, that in the helicopter level it's impossible to save.
Anyway, a really well done mod that deserves to be played (and possibly fixed).
Thanks for your comments. I have patched and updated the game and it is now working great. This mod has been a labour of love and I'm glad you all enjoyed it.
When I played I didn't get those four issues but oh well
In fact, only the one about the red door happened to me the first time. The others I have only seen by replaying the levels several times.
