Bid For Speed is created to compliment the fighting aspect of Bid for Power aswell as adding "racing" and "stealth" type gameplay. This modification was made by the fans from Bid for Power and is a free downloadable add-on.
Bid For Speed will run on any windows, linux, or mac computer that is capable of running Quake 3 Arena and has both the full Quake 3 Arena retail version and the 1.32. release point in order to play Bid For Speed.

11 / januari / 2008 A very late happy new year from me. Bid for Power is where it started for me. 2000 was the 1.0 release of BFP. It thrived for a long time, had many clans loads of people playing and spawned new gameplays that the comunity created themselves using specific attacks. It's where the baku / melee gameplay came from. Since bfp's decline people tried to keep the mod alive where with bfs as my last attempt lead to the death of both mods. Probably because I never could run a dedicated 24/7 server, and having no team except a few individuals to spread the word about Bid for Speed lead to the death of the very short time BFS had some people playing it. Looking back at it I wish I could have had the chance to have some servers with people playing it will remain as something that could have been. I've stopped the developement of bid for speed where I will keep the last build plus the BFS DBZ skinpack wich I've just released. For now this is goodbye and have fun playing BFS or any other game.

wow good work, i heard about BFP a long ago, but i dindt download it, and now there's a continuation of it, adding more stuff, its perfect i saw lots of videos and i think its great, but i have one question?
does this mod works for singleplayer? cuz i heard that its a dead mod, so i guess i wont see any1 on in any servers.. ty and keep doin quake 3 mods :D
Hi thanks for the input, sometimes Igo back here and check peoples messages. The mod's dead, but at the time it was really amazing to play on.
You can play with bots sp wise, but its nowhere as fun as with people.
We used to play 1vs1 ALOT, so if you ever do feel like playing just pm me, and ill be sure to whip out some old skool friends who'll love a few matches anyday ;)

looks exactly like BFP but with recolors =/ wat exactly IS the difference? (same chars with different colors,same hud again with different colors)
evn the char models are the same,i dont see anything different =/ only the color..

This also means that I've created around 15 maps, plus I did change allot of textures and skins. It's not a completely new mod, but it's somewhat an unofficial continuation of it. I've met a few of the original team members and their cool about. This mod's been made roguhly 2 years after the bfp team stopped working on it.
So yes it's bfp, hence the name, but I changed and added allot of stuff.
And I have added racing maps. I never got around to have massive beta tests, but the maps are fun to play in, as in some of the maps I really challenge your skills. And having totally different maps gives the whole mod a different look altogehter.

I'm done with dbz though, BFS is totally about the BM and racing gameplay, the stealth was fun but heh, its just for fun.
This was a total fan based project.
And I'll treasure the days in BFP and BFS
