I can't wait for the next update. Putting Europe under my banner will likely be a worthy challenge. Roma Victrix!

Note to author: A very long time ago, I criticized you for using Brytenwalda as a base for this mod, unaware that Brytenwalda's author allowed such a practice. I actually don't know if I ever formally apologized for being rude, so just in case I didn't, you have my apologies.

Is it possible to implement the ability to have your Legionaries form testudo? Both defensive and attacking testudos? It would be cool and plus standard bearers too.

Uniform colors and armor is not very historical though. Also legionaires didn't wear plumed helmets.

Roman helmets did have plumes, some did not. There were no standards for tunic colors worn under the armor, so you could dye your tunic any color you could afford.

That is what I said.

Also I am aware of helmets having plumes, but I think those were reserved to commanding troops for easier recognition on the battlefield. Probably not the common legionary

The troops imaged here aren’t your average rank and file soldier, they appear to be praetorians based off the arc de triomphe wearing what could be a pseudo attic helmet.

Which is exactly my point; there were no such things as legions 'Praetorians', outside of Rome TW that is.
During this period the legions would mainly consist of Hastati, Princeps and possibly some Triarii. While the Triarii did have plumes, it was still not universal.

Commonly however, plumes as I said would be reserved to the Centurions and the like

I see why you are confused, triarii, hastatii, princeps are the republican army models before the Marian reforms turned the legions into a professional force, this game is after said reforms. I recommend reading up more on Roman history, it’s quite interesting an subject. In your arguement you are talking about an entire different era of the Roman military machine, when this mod is set during the reign of Aurelius.
Also, princeps, triarii and hastati were not supplied equipment they bought the equipment themselves so your statement about them not having plumes is incorrect, where did you get your sources for this information? I’d be glad to give you accurate and reliable sources of information, I fear what you have is unreliable.

Also, the praetorians of the imperial time age are much different then the men who would be in the praetorium (generals tent during the pre Marian period) and these praetorians actually participated in battles.
In this case we are referring to the praetorian guards.

Description

It has consumed quite a lot of time but finally. I managed to pin down the cause of the formations not working properly!

This meaning, that full progress on 1.4 will resume and it could well be possibly finished by next week!

As you may also notice, the terrain textures have been reverted back to the native ones to increase the performance! The old texture pack can always be separately installed for those who can handle it with their PC!

Stay tuned!
