"Ersatz M10"
Converted Panther of Panzerbrigade 150
Model & Skin by Relic/Halftrack

Beautiful! Good work, both of you.
Finally get to see it with the proper panther skin, looks fantastic!
Also, just noticed the StuG has an upside down star, was that on purpose? :P
Yes, as the name "Ersatz" speaks for itself. It was an undercover guerilla unit with little time for proper preparation of their gear. The stars on the Panther are stencil copied from a US Army tank wreck, the stars on the StuG IV are hand-drawn with what appears to be chalk. They probably realized having a properly drawn US Army star would not be worth the time as everyone can clearly see that these are not US employed tanks. Realistically speaking they would have always detected as hostile unless there would be a heavy blizzard or fog going on. This is somewhat why the BotB Panzerbrigade 150 units camoflage only works when not in direct vicinity of an enemy unit.
Great explanation ;)
Reborn, I know all of that already. My question comes from the fact that the majority of pictures I've seen of Ersatz StuGs have the star painted in the proper direction.
Really nice excuse, but in fact its a mistake ;)
Never bothered to fix it, but now I will.
Your explanation doesn't really make sense, the Germans didn't draw the star properly...because it wasn't worth having it correctly positioned? Makes sense I guess, oh wait, not at all...
Anyway looks sick, will be cool when I get to call them in :)
Actually I was talking about the low possibility of a repainted StuG IV to have any camouflage value whatsoever especially in regards to fooling the enemy into thinking this one is one of their combat vehicles.
For me its a suicide Commando , we all know what all armys did with captured Soldiers when not wearing their own uniforms. Ich möchte da nicht drin gesessen haben, schönen dank auch, da hätte man mich nicht mit geld und schönen worten reinbekommen!
fantastic
no wonder they were uncovered very soon IRL
what will the differences in gameplay be other than the much better skin
skin? its a totally different model. A correct one.
gameplaywise there will be no difference.
Beutiful model. Nice work, always improving the realism. ;)
is this panther available in skirmish mode too? in which update it will available,
