Description
This is a new partial reload animation for MG34. The empty reload is same. Also note slightly improved model (shortened bipod, corrected right side of top cover and added bumps to it on each side, corrected pins on top cover, corrected front sight's base, added details to inside mechanism).

Yeah, making this was quite pain in the *** - especially the top cover opening/closing. Even though there are some issues I think the result was worth it and looks nice.
Btw, working on improved portable MG42...
Can the mg34 animations can be used for the mg42?
MG42 and MG34 can't share the same anims. Both guns have their own.

But I have to ask, wouldn't it be possible to give the weapons the same reload animation even if the magazine is empty? I mean, I have never reloaded an MG34 (or any other weapon), but I supose that you always have to open the top cover in order to reload it, right?
By the way, looking forward to seeing the new MG42 ;-)

To your question - most belt-fed MGs can be reloaded without opening the top-cover if these 2 conditions are met:
1) The weapon must be empty. This is fulfilled after lastshot when the old belt falls out of the weapon.
2) The new belt must have a starter-tab. Starter-tab is put through the feeding mechanism and then pulled. This will click the first round into the feeding mechanism.
