Indeed! amazing job there, Martin! I love the reload animations, but also the sounds; they make the gameplay much more immersive.

By the way, is it me, or you can rest the MG on the sandbags to reduce recoil? I know some games hava that featrure, but I'm not sure if it can be made in CoD2. If it is so, then it's just awesome!

Thx Nicolas, when I first tested the MG42 ingame I felt almost like a god. Even though I calculate all my weapon's scripts in order not to overpower something. The MG42 simply has so awesome attributes that it is a beast nonetheless.

To your question - no, I wasn't resting the MG. The recoil seemed less because I was crouching behind the sandbanks. Also if you go prone it will decrease recoil as well. True resting like it was in CoDUO isn't possible to my knowledge because the rest points have to be defined in the mapfile itself (for example windows, sandbanks, low walls etc.). And cod2 engine naturally doesn't have support for this.

Latest portable MG42 is there. It has animations modified from MG34 and new model. This weapon is one of few that don't need much of aiming when shooting because the rate of fire speaks for itself :) Well, check it out in the video...
