Hello everyone! Seems like there is no news for a while, but it doesn't mean nothing is happening. Last news was about Steam Greenlight submission mainly and WE MADE IT!

Saw a new update decided to give it a play and I have to say the changes to the shotgun are amazing currently on wave 38 only using it the double reload speed sure does wonders, now all it needs is a piercing bullets upgrade and it'll never use another weapon again.

Talking about the shotgun why can't you stop the reloading by left clicking it doesn't really make sense plus I can just double tap Q to stop it, its just inconvenient.

Something I noticed is that kills made by the turrets don't count for bloodbaths.

Still need a sink for money since I'm sitting at 33 000 and nothing to do with it.

Are dead bodies suppose to soak up bullets because a lot of the time my aim is blocked by an alien preforming his death animation panthers in particular have a really long death animation.

Showing salvage and souls on the HUD or maybe TAB would be nice instead of having to go to the demon to check if I have enough for the upgrades.

Do vortigaunts have a higher chance to give salvage because I feel like most of it is from them.

Also I cant use my upgrade kit on my vest it says "Set items can't be upgraded" I have Defenders Hauberk.

Which leads to the other point of the upgrades being silly increasing my armor by 20 when this gives 341, maybe make it be a % of the current armors defense like 10% or something.Also maybe make the shop items scale with wave/level because its silly to change what I have for something with 1/3 of its defense stat.

It also keeps saying "save failed..." I'm gonna assume it's because I'm playing by myself.

1. I haven't figured out yet how to make piercing bullets in a right way.
2. It looks weird, how often do you interrupt reloading process with shooting IRL? Quickswitch is more okay, it looks neat.
3. That's intended. You make Bloodbaths and you play the game, not my turret aiming code, right?
4. I did nothing about it yet.
5. That's the best way. When monsters become non-solid after death, you don't really feel that you make damage and monsters don't bleed then. So literally you can't put a mag in a falling dead monster just to make him pour the floor with blood.
But you can aim to shoot another monster!
6. It's in character menu... (C key by default)
7. Nope.
8. It says like this, because you can't upgrade set items. Set items are not upgradeable (green ones).
9. What version did you play and what wave? That's already in game. All upgrade kits and items (including shop ones) are scaling their attributes according to current wave number.
10. Nope, it's not, it's a bug. Create "SAVE" folder in bdef directory manually and it will save the game successfully.

1.Counter Strike 1.6 weapons pierced if through objects and I think players,gauss gun pierces but that's just a full damage pierce, I remember something about the Gluon gun piercing walls in multiplayer and being able to deal small amounts of damage to armor if that can somehow help you I'm not modder to know.

4.Also for souls maybe another power at level 40 unlocked by 10-15 souls or a weapon upgrade after you've gotten all other upgrades for that weapon.

6.My bad for not noticing but speaking of the character menu what is Belt Capacity its 2 so I'm assuming it's how many med/manakits you can carry and if so how do you increase it?

8.I see so is there some sort of set bonus if you have more green items?

9.Alright shop items do scale that was my mistake however while trying to check the upgrade kits Gargantua didn't feel very generous and didn't drop a single one after 10 times killing him however he did drop me 2 Metal Helmets and 1 Mithril Cap and they currently give 45,56 and 67 currently it is wave 43 so either these don't scale or the scaling is that insignificant for them.

10.Yup that got it working.

The stairs leading to the Gargantua room in Tomb completely break AI pathing as they either stand at the beginning of the stairs(shoot if they are ranged) and other aliens just flat out forget that I exist for example after running into the room killing the ones at the stairs I later found 3-4 aliens just standing around doing nothing until I came closer where they continued as normal.
Speaking of Garganuta if I place both my turrets at the two corners in the room and activate the book while invisible he will go after one of the turrets letting me shoot him for 90% of his hp while he is busy with it.His flamethrower misses the turret half the time because he is so close and it is so small however if he decides to use his stomp move then he will start kicking it and kill it like that however I could go invisible during that so he'd just go after the other turret and I'd beat Gargantua without taking a single point of damage.

Going invisible in front of an alien makes it spam one of its sounds non stop.

Are you planning on adding harder enemies for later waves even with unique waves it starts to feel a bit samey, maybe something evil like an Alien Grunt that shoots snarks instead of hornets or a Trooper with Duel Shock Roaches.

Curse that Obscurity spell I've used it maybe 80 times and I've gotten nothing,I know that the more sorcery to have the higher your chance of getting something and I have 0 sorcery but does that mean I have 0 chance of getting something.Maybe this is where the minigun ammo is hidden.Curiosity is killing me.

Welp that's all I have to say for now.

Belt capicity can be increased with a armor called hydro or something like that | If u get a full set of sunny/defenders/rainbow equipted they all gain boostet stats on finishing the set and ur Player will start glowing golden

I decided to exploit the fact that turrets stop following the laws of gravity once they are placed and stacked them one on top another and discovered that turrets can't shoot downwards also it breaks the AI of almost everything but Alien Grunts all other aliens just kept piling up bellow them until eventually the grunts finally destroyed them.
Puu.sh that is a picture of them floating.
Puu.sh and that is a picture of a turret stuck in the ceiling.

Also turrets overkill aliens by shooting their corpses they could be more efficient if they didn't but I don't really mind the bodies exploding.

there are no bots , but as religious u can summon angels to help you or Provident for turrets. If u want to play with other person bdef try discord Discordapp.com and ask ppl in this group if they want to play with you togher

Any ideas on how to remove or reduce the screen shake when firing automated weapons , I get nauseous after firing for more than 4-5 seconds.

Dude you rock! Hardcore man, you and a few others are still making your half life one mods all the more excellent, slowly but surely! i just ask, is there a way to make it so that it only plays tomb?

I remember when this was on that Desura or wat ever. now it looks like its about to hit STEAM. NICE.

PS: is there a way to add my own music to the jukebox? (i may or may not figure it out before i hear a response)

PPS: can there be a second game mode with the buyable walls from the OG version?

Those walls that partitioned the different sections.

like the wall the seperated the first area from the stairs (in Tomb, or the wall the seperated the main area from the area with the gargantua room (which as i recall at the time was blank space suitable for four people to bottle neck the npcs in) and the wall that separated the main area from the elevator (which i felt should blocked only the elevator)those were awesome.

Although it would be cool to have small place-able barricades , nothing huge as to completely npc proof a hall way, but big enough that players can have something they can use to enhance a room or hallway just a little (but i can understand if this may not be possible, old tech)

Those walls were removed because they blocked paths for monsters and it ruined the AI. They were supposed to prevent players reaching specific map parts in early-game, not to give him any advantage.

ah. well then thats ok.

furthermore the jukebox seems to recognize only 3 of my songs and im unsure of how to change the name so i know what song is playing (as i renamed the songs to track1 track2 etc just incase). says some aren't mp3 even though the properties say they are. just lettin you know

Try to convent those songs into ogg then rename them in track1.mp3 It works for me like that

Great mod, really made the traditional Half-life mechanics feel modern in-tune with the Horde-style systems we see in most shooters and stays fun throughout. Alot of balance problems though, most noticeably the AI-pathfinding which is so horrendous at finding players hiding in spots that its game-breaking at times. However with 4 players running around the map proper, its a blast.
