since we're in the middle of overhauling the World War 2 map for the Metagame I've had to postpone some of my WW2 map plans. I've taken this time to began further development on Yugoslavia. the plan was to have them as part of some new SP campaign maps. now that theharkonnen has found a way to add new territories to the Metagame it motivated me to finish up this faction again.
currently the plan is to have Yugoslavian forces as a purely defensive army that will be controlled by the Soviet player.
like Poland, Yugoslavia will have a highly developed "Partisan" division where they'll be able to recruit American, British, and Soviet gear to fight the Germans. this is a variety of regular Yugoslav units that will be encountered before Lend Lease and Partisan techs have been researched.
What do you think they will have for aircraft?
fighter = reskinned Bf-109
bomber = reskinned Blenheim bomber (British)
they had a variety of aircraft from different countries-- but for the sake of simplicity that's what I'm going to use.
there is no evidence for airborne forces so Yugoslavia won't get an Airborne HQ. what they will get is two different types of Partisan HQs. the infantry type will deploy infantry that can not be seen on radar. the second type of HQ will be invisible on radar-- but deploy vehicle regiments which WILL be visible on radar. making tank regiments that can't be seen on radar seems like TOO much of an advantage. but if the division tent doesn't show up on radar it keeps it inline with the other Partisan tents.
Blenheim makes sense as they used that aircraft,
If I could make a suggestion, but perhaps the fighter could be a Hawker Hurricane instead? They actually used them early in the war and even made some themselves under license.
I'll look into that. for now, for the sake of simplicity-- I've simply included the most numerous fighter and the most numerous bomber unit.
