Also, I may be wrong, but didn't the British also control Palestine and Persia?

the British controlled Palestine but did not control Persia until they invaded in 1941.

Persia was invaded so that the Allies could have access to some secure oilfields and create a new supply line to the Soviet Union that wasn't threatened by the Nazis.

I think it's better to leave it as neutral.

Iran would have basically had WWI era equipment with which to fend off the British and Russian invasion force in 1941.

You should see if its possible to make territories turn into puppet states after capture, like for example, after France and the French Coast are captured by Germany, the central part of France and the north African territory is replaced with Vichy France. And maybe split Italy into 2 half's, since in the real war, Germany Annexed northern Italy after Mussolini was ousted from office.

right now the mod is set up so if a player captures an enemy capital in WW2 mode that they can marshal forces for that nation. the glitch is that you can leave that capital unattended and use the resident forces exclusively for defensive tasks-- so you could theoretically have Nazi Russian troops fighting against genuine Russian troops over possession of a capital. it's an interesting idea-- but it looks kinda strange.

Seems you are using our former idea, but I suggest to delete communist china in WW2 mode and change it into a Russian zone historically, and add some defences in Siberia so japanese will not run over there unopposed. And since Russia and USA are still neutral in 1940,how are you going to show that?Is it possible to change the relationships among cnountries during WW2 mode?

I was hoping to add Australia and Canada into WW2 mode-- and right now I'm having trouble with that. if I can't figure it out, I'm going to replace Communist China with Canada.

I'm basically ignoring the Russian and US neutrality for the sake of gameplay. the WW2 mode has the same date for every side-- and it doesn't look like this can be changed. so I figure players can just imagine that the US and Russia are getting involved sooner than was historically the case.

Well,if so,I think Netherlands and France must be challenging choices who lose capital at the beginning of the game.

France is a viable WW2 nation because they actually have almost as many colonial territories as Great Britain.

the Netherlands isn't pretty rough, though. if they can't defend their capital they're stuck with the Dutch East Indies for most of the war.

yeah, if I can't add Canada and Australia in successfully I will replace the Netherlands and Communist China with France and Australia. after that I'd use Communist forces as purely defensive armies in regular China. the Netherlands would probably end up being defensive armies that British players can use-- since the Brits also had a presence in the Dutch East Indies.

Description

haven't figured out how to create new territories-- and when theharkonnen tried it out there were problems. for the time being I've been reallocating territories and grafting the new nations into the WW2 map. just added Hungary and France in this last weekend. I'm cautiously optimistic that I could add Canada and Australia in later (although this was not part of my original plan, it appears possible now)

although having more Allied nations than Axis nations seems like an unfair advantage at first-- it also means that no specific nation can eco-up as quickly. you'll never see Great Britain devouring over half of the planet unopposed again.

we're starting with the national borders after Poland is invaded and before the Blitzkrieg in Western Europe. this is a work in progress (I'd like to add the NED flag in there in the future. but this is to show people we haven't been slacking off)
