for the record, Japan still has some of the weakest tanks in the game. don't let these numbers fool you into thinking that somehow their tanks will be more competitive in tank battles. I've been working on a new set of criteria for recruiting tanks. while some nations like Japan and Italy will have painfully weak tanks compared to powerhouses like Russia and Germany-- their lighter tanks will cost less money and use up fewer resources. this hopefully allows them to prevail with numbers when qualitative superiority is impossible.
Nice! Are these all the Japanese Tanks? Type O-I looks scary haha
Where is the Chi-Nu?
We have this unit now
Hooray! Thanks!
There's a few more units. We don't want to spoil everything.
Is the regular Chi-Ha going to be available?
Congratulations!
Very beautiful!
the 'regular Chi-Ha' is currently a command tank. I decided to make the Shinhoto Chi-Ha the standard medium tank for the sake of gameplay balance. since I'm using historical penentration at 500 yards as the baseline attack the original Chi-Ha had less penetrating power than most Allied light tanks.
I was tempted to use the Chi-Nu but the Chi-Ri made more sense from a game-play perspective. the Chi-Nu uses the same gun as the tank destroyers and had lower health than the Chi-Ri. I went with the type that historically never saw service but would make for more competitive gameplay. (higher health, same defense value, better attack with the 88mm gun)
we'll look into the Chi-Nu before the mod gets released.
