by getting rid of about half of the German tank units and skins be eliminating the Waffen SS I felt it would be nice to give the minor nations a bit more attention.

now that I've got a drawing tablet I'm able to get more ambitious with the unit skins. in the past I wasn't able to free-hand draw shapes in the way that I can now.

my main references have been the work of Peter Muzjer, Charles Kliment, Vladimir Francev, Mark Axworthy

in each case I took the base skin in the mod and revised based on my research into historical paint schemes. when there was a conflict I would err on the the prevailing view found in multiple scholars and sources.

the actual pending Hungarian Panzer 38t skins are going to be more like the Romanian skin we see here... except a more darkish olive green color.

my biggest concern was that the Czechs were still using Panzergrau colors when that's not what they would have done. I'll be using the same unit model with alternate skins for the Czech tank for Iran, Iraq, and several other minor nations as well. hence the lack of national markings (which was not the Czech practice, so far as I know). it means I can get more mileage out of fewer units and less memory overall.

Hope there will be some re-balancing for the super tanks. They are way too powerful in 4.3. Throw an entire army on 2-3 units of them and still can't kill them.

These all really turned out great. Something about the Slovak and Czechoslovak patterns really remind me of Japanese camouflage patterns, though I imagine that is a historical coincidence.

yes, I do realize that the top two Hungarian skins are not technically accurate. I took some basic patterns used in late war German camouflage and put some early Hungarian tank markings on them as a fun challenge for myself. the Bulgarian, Czechoslovakian, Hungarian, and Romanian skins are, to the best of my knowledge, fairly accurate.

I'm open to criticism and suggestions. although that does not necessarily mean that I can always act on the advice: I still have to work within the limits of my free time and personal skills.
