the Italians are still a work in progress. however, we have a new light field gun and a super-heavy field gun finished.
I added the 210/22 as far back as last fall because I found that Italian tanks are so badly outclassed against the Russians, Americans, and British heavies. artillery was the only thing that could give them a fighting chance. I would recruit two or three 210/22 regiments and bombard enemy heavies before rushing in with tank destroyers to wipe out the left-overs.
historically the 210/22 was well regarded by the Germans, and a small number of them ALMOST saw action at Stalingrad. the Soviet offensive started a mere day or two after the guns arrived and the Italians had to abandon them before they could really make any sort of impression on the outcome of the battle.
I would encourage people to consider doing some Eastern Front missions including Italy, Hungary, and Romania after the next upload. I'll try to post some stand-alone missions as an example.
So we can expect a new upload soon right?
Neat. How far along to a complete version are you, in your opinion?
I still plan on uploading something in early September. it won't be 'completely finished' as I had hoped for... but I will upload something.
naturally, right after I planned for all of those things to get done I was required to work almost constantly for several weeks and had to postpone things.
I guess I'd say we're 85% done. we're still working on the artillery revisions, and I need to double check the regimental assignments, banners, and a couple of other things.
