these are pretty fearsome-- they use gunfire on enemy aircraft and rockets on enemy ground targets. pretty much the ideal for breaking enemy AA defenses and intercepting enemy bomber attacks. even if you can't afford to pay for the expensive bomber strikes-- after all of the upgrades jet fighters are practically the "King Tiger" of fighterrs: high speed and attack values make it a serious threat to anything in the sky. keeping a jet airfield near your Corps HQ will make it difficult for the enemy to inflict serious damage without a special op bomb. right now I'm thinking that jet airfields would either be more expensive than regular airfields OR deploy smaller numbers of aircraft. it needs some more in-game testing before I find the best solution
WOOOOAAAAHHH!!
Nice!!!! How'd you get it to shoot rockets?
just ordinary infantry rockets. the same type as used by the Assault Infantry unit-- I figured "why make another model when these work just as well?" the tricky part was figuring out that planes could use them just as easily as infantry.
They look marvelous.
Are you going to add a P-80 Shooting Star?
They were already in limited USAAF service by the end of world war II, if not in combat, and had comparable armaments and role to the ME 262. (Bit faster and more advanced, though)
Wow, I actually didn't know if you would succeed in taking my idea, but I'm glad to see that you did. Any guestimate of a release, full or Beta version?
(Adding to previous comment, sorry for triple post.)
Oh, and the Gloster Meteor, which entered RAF service in 1944-45, I think.
did have plans for the Meteor, hadn't considered the P-80 yet. I was hoping to limit things to three airfield types per side. adding more than three airfield types per nation may require some new changes to the building recruitment table. might have to add them into the "Arsenal HQ". will see what I can do.

dear Guest, as far as China is concerned, most of the serious work on new units is done. there's a little bit of reskinning to be done-- and some other cosmetic changes. I was working on a new map for the battle of Shanghai earlier this week. when I get some good pictures I'll post them online later. I'm shooting to make Shanghai like the Chinese-Japanese version of Stalingrad. it should hopefully be a brutal fight.
