today I'm showing you some of the new abilities we have been working on!
1. Overcharge
Overcharges weapon systems, which causes shield and hull damage but increases firepower by alot.
Used by: Black Sun Venator, Black Sun Acclamator, Black Sun Heavy Corellian Corvette, Munificient
2. Repair Fighters
Heals all fighters and bombers close to the carrier.
Used by: Quasar, Ton-Falk
3. Deploy Repair Drones
Deploys Repair Drones that can repair corvettes, frigates and capital ships during battle.
Used by: GR-75 Repair Ship

does overcharge also increase speed? it kinda looked like it, also i really like the repair abilities because they make the carriers have more of a reason to be close to the battle and not just camp in some corner launching fighters.
Nope, Overcharge actually decreases speed. And yeah, thats one of the things we wanted, giving carriers a reason to be on the frontline.
Are you planning to keep the pojectile speeds seen in this video? I am concerned, because it reminds me of the Thrawn's revenge space clusterf*ck of lasers.
Yes we plan on keeping them, but adjust frequency of fire to not make it that. It should also be better for performance, since the projectiles are "alive" shorter.

Thx, the charging up sound is stolen from the Vanilla Blast ability, that the Merciless had.

this is exactly what I was hoping for with the gr-75! the new projectiles are also great. but i think the gr-75s are a bit to big. i thought that a cr-90 was bigger than the transports. But it makes them easier to see for the player, so I understand why you guys increased the size a bit :)
did the venator get buffed or nerfed?
it has been buffed, but I believe it is going to be nerfed
It seems the Black Sun ones have been buffed by replacing it's twin Turbolasers with Quad Turbolasers and that ability that was shown in the video could be very powerful but at the same time seems like a double edged sword the only downside is while the Black Sun Venator got pretty good buff.
On the other hand however Empires ones have been nerfed to where it replaced the tie fighters with V-wings which I wish V-wings were more powerful but in empire at war V-wings aren't that good and in AotR tie fighters are surprisingly useful when in swarms though the one thing it still has going for it is it's still a good duel role ship in terms of fighters and combat ability and it has one thing going for it that the Black Sun Venator doesn't where the Empire's has tie Bombers which are still great at bombing capital ships while also being pretty good at taking out fighters for some reason with it's concussion missiles when compared to most of the fighters on the Black Sun ships can't do any real bombing runs.
