Assault Horizon plans to add as many nations as possible, this will result in no AI (Generals can only cover 12 or something factions with AI), But who cares? Lets play vs. the 3 vanilla nations or play against a friend or two.
These are the nations that will be added first.

Please stop asking me when i will add xxx country/nation. Or what nation is next, that is a suprise. And asking about your home nation/country, you are not alone. i have atleast 50 or so request in my private inbox.

Well then, the biggest news as of now is that InsurgentCeLL has joined the ranks and is pretty much the closest i got to a member of the team. As of now he has free will to do what he likes. What this means is that its up to him to decide when to work with Assault Horizon or not. Modding takes alot of time and i for one knows this. I do not want to take someones free time away from them so.. Thats that.
As of now his helping out with some 3D Models. I cant promise that this will make the release date come any closer but it will help me in the long run as i can use less time actully making the 3D Models and instead get a good base to either use directly or to add some details too. I still need to texture the models myself and that is time consuming (probably the most time consuming part of modding) and then code them, which isen't that much of a problem to do.
The new faction is about 25 to 50% done for release. Somewhere around there, we got some class A Models in the works, as stated before, it's the texture process that will take some time. Codewise i've added some new bits and fixed some others. I will fix up the PLA Infantry "cant capture building" bugs today. Tried to play AH over network. Got the Missmatch problem, tried to fix that the same way Contra and ROTR did it. Hopefully this will work.
Also if you want to be like InsurgentCeLL and be a good lad and help out, this is what you can do for me.
That is it for today i guess, i wont go on forever and ever abot it. Use common sense, thats how i survived in the big world until now.
Next release will be released when it's ready to be released, no exceptions. The faction is yet to be revealed, One thing is for sure. This faction packs some serious firepower! Until then AH Fans. Take Care!

Sounds interesting - one thing that bugged me is that they mentioned the 'reserve' factions having outdated units like a Sherman tank. A WWII era tank that went out of service in the 1950s wouldn't fit at all alongside modern units like RAH-66 Comanches, F35Cs, etc.
Maybe a Sheridan tank would work, but a Sherman? No thanks. That's just way too anachronistic.
Any chance of seeing the AAV7 in here? Would love to see Amtrackers in this mod. Best one so far.

Most moderns armies dosen't have a "infantry" branch. They have an branch for the Army, Airforce, Navy, Reserve and Coast Guard.. Then we have Russia who has a branch for space... fighting?
But no infantry branch.

oh i just wanted to ask Does this mod stand close to the original Zero hour gameplay, or is it based on large amounts of units. I prefer mods that focus on skirmishes of about 20-80 infantry units and around 10 to 15 tanks at a time. Thats what I hated about blitzkrieg. It threw out the old game play and focus on unbelievable amounts of armor that always out range you no matter the situation.
I will try to balance it out better, the gameplay should be more compared to Company of Heroes than Zero Hour.
Hopefully this will work fine with the engine per say and just hopefully i'll get this mod done sooner or later.
