So, um, how are you going to implement a primarily based CC army into an FPS with no CC abilities of any sort? Also, for added realism, Ork guns should have stupid rates of fire, reasonably high damage, stupid size clips, make FAR too much noise and be really, REALLY, ******* inaccurate.

there is NO CC Melee like Space Marines Animations in OFP to A3 of any kind.
As for DAY-Z mod .. yes there is the AXE, Bat, Malachite animations which could be used.
In OFPWh40K Mod we have a small animations of the ORK doing a CHOP with his left armed Welding axe... and a script that runs to set X-amount of dammage to it's target once the Ork is with in range...
Crud but Effective.
So basically, it's just a really short range gun with a new animation. AKA CC with gun mechanics, AKA the worst part of any game ever, just look at Dead Island ffs.
You have to understand that this whole project is a huge struggle against arma specifics and limitations. Energy weaponry, melee, armor types, walkers... those are all pain in the *** to try replicate.
Some work I've recently done showcasing here first. I am taking these basic models into a sculpting tool to enhance the detail and then bake it back down again.

And yet we have......
WELL I have just added a CC weapon to my own Necron Scarabs...ALTHOUGH IT IS VERY WIP and was made is 3 1/2 minutes...
Also, will you be including things like Nobz, Grots and Squiqs? Or maybe even Squiggoths?

Even Though A2 and now A3 are the Highest Detailed Maps/military Sims currently out there ..
BIS did not think to Add CC melee To it (even though all Modern Military units train in CC/Hand to hand Combat)
That Said.. The Only Limit on CC now . is waiting for some one to make Custom Animie for such things.
Lets Not Kid our Selves here .. A2 and or A3 is not Spacemarine or any Other MMO type game...
But I will state that Once We have our Units in game,(other then the CC of SM vs ORKS) it will be one of the BEST 40K games to Play.
No its not. But where else you can deep strike with a squad of terminators and shred a greenskin mob? ;)
