Really love it but for two minor things:
- knee guard could be more edgy.
- chapter symbol is usually placed on the left pauldron, company and squad type markings are on the right one.
Especially love them grenades, always wondered where the Astartes are keeping their munitions, my guess was under the pauldrons since they're so big :D
Will there also be versions of this model without the Ultramarine Symbol modeled? It will make creating other chapters easier (reskins).

Yeah this has been a mystery to many.. as for table top models, GW never made as that would be 50cents worth of plastic/pewter they would need to add to a model..
So if a SM was real, where would they have their Hand grenades/Bolter/Bolt-pistol mags stored .. etc??????

#2 AS A3 is the VERY SAME GAME ENGINE as A2
#3 The WH40K II Mod will at some point be Ported to A3..
#4 When will WH40K II be Ported to A3 - When I Port it.

Im currently working on this and appreciate the feedback a lot.
My apologies for putting the Chapter symbol on the wrong side I am not a 100% Iarhammer know-it-all (yet) :P :D
I was considering re-doing the knee pads anyway and maybe the crotch area. I was thinking more "bowl like", but i will do a few versions for you.
As for the chapters and such, yes, we/I will model a physical LOW POLY version of a few different chapters, and alter the things accordingly.
In release i hope to release "template textures" and "Model Kit"- this is so that users can KIT BASH there own chapter/model/skin and use it on there own server (aslong as they know how to :P). So basically YES, we will have lots of chapters/champions/variations/skins/accesories. But they will be set on a certain unit, you wont be able to go to a menu and pick "oh i want a power sword and a X".
Okay, ill get to work on those bits. Please keep the feedback coming!
Personally, I'd say concentrate on one chapter first, so you can bring more content like different firearms or more Astartes vehicles for that explicit chapter. As you said, others can build on that and make other chapters (mod for a mod = modception?).
If you are going to make Chaos Space Marines later, I'd suggest going for the Black Legion (awesome skin) or Word Bearers since they serve chaos undivided and are therefore more versatile than for example the Emperors Children (besides who wants to charge the enemy in PINK power armor :D). But thats just my opinion.

i am doing Ultramarines because thats just my fave. after i have a ultramarine version of all the marines i will start doing the next :)
After arma2 we will do arma3 (probably). By then the tools and info available may be better. However with work still being done on the OFP mod, work starting to tick over faster for this a2 mod i don't know how much time we have for another game :)
(this isnt to say we are not, i cant speak for all the members i bet some are playing in a3)
That being said, Arma2 has a huge player base still and the game fits for what we need. its been improved enough since its release to allow us to do what we need.
This will be done in the next week or so. But i may do some texture stuff first, and re texture the terminator properly.
Then i will finish making/converting the animations, that will take a while. and they will then be almost complete. Then i need to redo my alpha bolter, storm bolter, bolt pistol heavy bolter, make a plasma gun and plasma pistol. then i will be making the configs for the ability/actions. THEN maybe i can release a tactical marine and a chaos tactical marine into the next release!
As Joazzz said I totally agree with the mouth grill besides that the proportions are pretty much bang on most people redo a space marine like 30 times before they get it right I mean hell even the Newish Space Marine game makes them look strange.

Some artists like current 40k paint god Ukitakumuki give them pouches similar to those in use today.
My idea is to just say "Maglocks" or something :P But yes, i also like those pouches and plan on making some like that.
Great mod guys! But way dont you port it to Arma 3, you would have much better possibilities?
