This is just to announce on the news page of this mod that the new version has been released, uploaded to the site!
Most of the relevant information is in the file's description, but I might as well share a few thoughts here too.

I promised SteamPipe support, but it seems Valve didn't want to co-operate here. Even with the GNU/Linux beta of Portal 2, the VPK format remains incompatible with that used in Orange Box games. Therefore, my dream of simply mounting assets from HL2 and Portal 1 into this game has been crushed - to mitigate this, I have packed necessary assets in with the mod, which is something I never wanted to have to do. Anyway, this means that the mod, like any good mod, is now just "drop in and go" on any OS that supports Portal 2!

There are two outstanding issues, which in my opinion are quite minor. I will no longer be searching for solutions, or actively developing this mod. If solutions come my way, I will implement them and release version 2.1, otherwise, this is the final version of the mod!

Okay, I revisited this mod after the release of 2.0 mainly because I never beat it first time around, and after I figured out where I was going wrong at the security inversion stage, I felt like just as much of a nincompoop as Irish GLaDOS was calling me. I get the feeling that killing all the turrets was meant to restart the map like it does in the next one, but that never happened, so I got stuck with no way to kill the... well... anyway, don't kill the turrets.

It seems like the entire game starts becoming unstable from the very start of the escape levels. Before that point, the test chambers work as intended, with one exception that seems to be unrelated to the mod, and doesn't make the game unbeatable. I guess that means that the whole game is running on GLaDOS, and breaks down with her...

I'm not entirely sure how asking for tech support was enough to get my name in the credits, but thanks anyway. After 2 years I still love this mod.

Hi there! So I recently downloaded this and put it in sourcemods, etc. (the one I got was version 2.0 on Mac)

I tried to open it, and the credits played (uigou or something, I think) but then it shut down with the Error message as follows:

TEX Instruction: unsupported sampler type used

Any clue on what I did wrong?

I still can't figure out what I'm supposed to do during the boss fight - I've gotten to the incinerator room and destroyed that purple core, but from then on I'm pretty much stuck...

Does "that money was just resting in my account" ever become relevant to the storyline?

No. It's just a pop culture reference. Play that chamber with the Dev Commentary on for more info. :)
