Alpha Project is a Battlefield 2 modification which goals are to bring back all the features that were left out in the retail game. The gameplay style of the mod is a mixture of arcade and realism.
DESCRIPTION:
Obviously, headlights will lighten up dark areas when using them lol this little effect in combination with a lightsource will add even more eyecandy to alpha projects night time maps without a single framedrop!

Looking at this pic, It may be a good idea to make some darkened diffuse textures for soldiers on night maps.
Maybe use ACU so it can work for both woodland and desert?
It looks more like the problem is the dynamic light continuing to affect soldier models regardless of occlusion. The map lighting and groundhemi look correct, judging by the humvee but the dynamic light isn't affecting the humvee unnecessarily so perhaps there is hope this effect can be tweaked.
the diffuse maps are ok, it was the lightsource lightng them up, when in darkness they aint that bright of corse ;)
I see, but it seems as if it works fine with the rest of the environment. Is there a way to lower the effect on soldiers alone?

this effect does look very nice, although I believe this mechanism was used years ago in other mods. I would say that AP have integrated the look and feel of the headlights into their excellent map ambiance very well, if not the most well that I've seen.
