Don't make them overpowered like destroying a HMMWV in just a few shots or a helicopter. Although you could make it penetrate through the vehicles to hit the driver/pilot maybe?
i shoot out 3 times a pilot with the standard Barret, the upgrade of the m21, and wow, its really not that overpowered, i only changed velocity and power, so it can shoot out a HMMWV in like 3-6 shots, depending on range ofc, thats the ideal idea behind an .50 sniper, to take out big things, so i kinda disagree with you bro...
The .50 cal can penetrate 8 inches of concrete in real life, and I would believe that it has the ability to disable a humvee in a single shot >.>
true, but why does every mod have to follow these facts? do they ALL have to be realistic?
But in real life, you don't got snipers shooting a 50 cal while standing straight up. And you can't jump while holding this thing, so I think it's kind of fair to give the cars a chance >.>
Thats some good ideas to balance it, thanks for that, removing the ability to shoot while standing, aswell disabling jumping with it as far its possible :)

pwnd, but yes, a .50 can take out a hummer, but only they are incendiary rounds.
If you look at the summary page it says Alpha project is not a realism mod, so get over it :P
Besides, it's a drop kit weapon, so don't think the bots will be using this against you
