I see you are also trying to edit kits on BFEditor, And then i found this tutorial that Might help (I'm also studying it)
Bfeditor.org It's for soldier but Soldiers and Kits are Skinnedmeshes so they work the same.
I think it's just same name, because i don't play DayZ :)
I just died in DayZ... Had a Bizon, a satchel, G17 and a whole shitload of good equipment... ****
