Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.

The Xindi, still adjusting to the downfall of the Sphere Builders, are given yet another reminder that they are no longer a secluded power protected by the barrier of the Delphic Expanse. The time of Xindi isolation is over.

Well, you'll be able to fight against them, at least. They're the strongest neutrals by a fair margin.

Maybe. Random events have yet to be worked on.

Would be neat to show maybe something paving the way for them joining the Federation... Alas.
We don't really know when they join the Federation, except that it's some time between the 22nd and 29th Centuries. That's too big a margin of error for us to work into our lore.

I've been meaning to ask; originally you guys spoke about having ships crewed by either andorian, tellerite, vulcan or humans giving the ships combat, engineering, science or balanced advantages, is this still in the works?
I'm afraid we've stepped away from it though we might bring that idea back with some of the features from the new DLC
