Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
A Romulan warship patrols the Neutral Zone, staying just beyond the sensor range of the Federation's sentry outposts.
Though in a state of self-imposed isolation and focused on consolidating its own power, the Romulan Star Empire monitored the events of the war between the Federation and the Klingon Empire with great interest. In the 85 years between their defeat at Cheron and the conclusion of the Four Years War, the Romulans' intelligence apparatus remained unrivalled.

-Operative Report-
The War between the Earthmen and the Klingons has come to a close. Other operatives have the particulars about the terms of the Treaty, but I have monitored construction orders for multiple starbases and listening posts along the newly created Neutral Zone between the two powers.
How the Earthers were able to slake the Klingon's hunger for war, I have no idea, but the evidence is there for all to see. War between these two once the Neutral Zone is fully established will be difficult to instigate. The dismantling of this Zone should be made a priority before both adversaries fully recover. If not then it will take decades for a suitable opportunity to arise which we can exploit.
Note: The Commander of this vessel seems reluctant to pursue any engagement. Whether this is out of the dedication to the secrecy of our mission or rank cowardice remains to be seen. Though it is the opinion of this operative that his devotion to duty is unparalleled. He has the requisite skill and experience for our needs, but I will continue to review his character on the remainder of the patrol. For now, it is the opinion of this operative that his name should be moved to the top of the list of possible commanders to be presented to the Praetor for his latest pet project.
