Expanded Mod Version 2.6.2 for Extended Edition refer to /docs/ folder contained in expanded mod core for complete list of changes from prev. versions and 1.3 to 2.0. Not compatible with disk/Titans. Delete any preexisting Expanded Mod folders, then extract the contents of the archive into your /steamapps/common/age of mythology/mods folder.
General
- Weaving is now researched faster at 5 seconds.
- Added 3x3 Destruction variants (for Eco Guild, Garden, and Sky Passage)
- Removed Siege Drills.
- Engineers now only increases damage of non-ranged siege weapons (Battering Rams, Siege Towers etc) but now also increases attack rates of all Siege Weapons by 10%.
- Alchemy now increases the damage done by ranged siege weapons at the same rates of pre-2.6.3 Engineers (25% for Pierce, 50% for Crush)
- Moved Ironclad to Armory, moved Engineering Schools to University.
Greek
- Removed Lead Bullets
- Improved Arsonist design.
- Battering Rams now have at least 10 hack armour, and 225 hitpoints, increased blast radius of damage to 5 meters from 2, and attacks faster.
Egyptian
- Removed Lead Bullets
Norse
- Walking Woods now works with ALL Expanded Mod trees (before due to human error they were unable to transform EM's new trees)
- Portable Rams now cost 100w, 75g, have 200 hitpoints, have 5% hack armour, are 0.3 faster.
- Thor now gets a variant of Ironclad pertaining to his bonuses.
Atlantean
- Now use Greek destruction graphics instead of Egyptian.
- Redesigned Noble Cavalry and Hoplomachus textures to be more Atlantean (essentially they wear padded armour now)
- Slightly redesigned the Cranequiner, Lacquerius and Essedarius helmets to have solid player colours than the weird black plumes (due to graphical limitations)
- Bucellarius' lances no longer have a weird cyan colour.
- Arquebusiers now have smoke effects when attacking.
Scenario Editor
- Added Flocks of Geese and Flocks of Ducks
- Seperated Grass Brown and Grass Tall
- Added Wild Goose, Heron, Ibis, Seagull, Wild Duck, Dove
- Fixed and Restored Dove Flock.
- Replaced Aspen Trees (which were just a wild copy of Gaia Forest Trees) with Birch Trees which fill the same role whilst looking different to Gaia Forest Trees.
-- Added Autumn Birch Trees, Mixed Birch Forests, and Autumn Birch Forests. Replaced Aspen Forest with Birch Forest.
-- Coastal now variates between Autumn Birch and Autumn Oak Forests.
- Added Turtles on a Log, Lake Plants, Ferns (original Ferns now Bush Short) and Grass Patches from AoE3 (with changes)
- Revised Coral Reef objects to be distinctive and prettier objects. Added a second variant for the brown/barren/desert coral terrain.
- Fixed Rock River Grassy as the original RRG object was just a copy of Rock Limestone Big (all river rocks now have a smaller obstruction radius too)
- Renamed Beech Tree to Chinese Pine
- Removed a bunch of redundant or weird maps (i.e all non-styx/erebus hades maps, canyon, rainforest, etc)
- Revised Hawksbill, it should now fit within the obstruction radius, and does a standard 360 rotation instead of the weird triangular loop.
- Added Trout, since there needed to be more European/Asian freshwater fish.
- Added Tuna, since well Tuna wasn't already in the game, and needed some fish for Atlantic Ocean maps.
- Snowy Owls now render correctly
