To better reflect the character of the 12th-15th centuries, Age of Chivalry: Hegemony replaces or significantly alters each of the civilizations in the original game, adding many new units and technologies, allowing the player to control Central and Western European states.

Description

The Florentine Guild Hall on display, together with its unique units: the Condottiero (mounted on the white horse), the Carroccio (the cart with banners), and the Spadaccino (swordsman with round shield). The Florentines also have arguably the strongest Militia Lancers (left) in the game.
