Concentrating on the late medieval period, Age of Chivalry: Hegemony replaces or significantly alters each of the civilizations in the original game, while adding a number of new ones, allowing the player to control Central and Western European states. Many new units and technologies have been added and gameplay dynamics have been changed considerably in this complete overhaul of Age of Empires II.
Age of Chivalry: Hegemony is a total conversion mod for AoK:TC set in Western and Central Europe, 1200-1500.
Thank you very much! Any changes to the AI?
The AI should now be more manageable on lower difficulty levels, and will always ask players if they want to face an easier or more challenging AI on those difficulty levels. The AI will also use more different policy decision units and options than previously (particularly for factions with more combinations, such as Hungary), especially on higher difficulty levels, so that it will be a little more surprising.
Amazing as always sir! I'm gonna give it a try right now
Thanks !
You know you're the only decent medieval RTS around here ?
Why are the medieval scene and the strategy genre being forgotten by the video games industry... it makes me sad. And AoE2 is getting old.
Im having problems installing, it bugs out near the end of the installation saying that the exe file is missing
What version of AoK:TC are you trying to install it on?
the newest version 1C
You didn't specify but I assume it's the age2_x1.exe that's missing? If so, it seems you don't have a regular installation of Age of Empires II: TC or else it would be in the standard location...
I have the original AoE:Conquers disk installation
HOWEVER
As it turns out, missing that exe literally does nothing to impede the mod, i ran it via the batch file and it worked so, i guess it didnt matter?
Thanks for your response. I expect you won't have all of the scenario editor features such as extra triggers now, unfortunately, but I've passed on this problem to the guy who made the code to alter the .exe as a few other people were also having problems. Hopefully he'll manage to find the cause of the problem. If he does, I'll let you know!
Question, will you guys be eventually make a campaign for your mod
There already is a campaign, you can find it in the Custom Campaign section.
Ah maybe Im just stupid
Thanks for the help!
You're welcome, hope you'll enjoy it! :)
For me, the installer says that the aoc.exe file is missing
does this fix the Danish longship bug, where the ship won't shoot arrows but gets in close to attack, as though it were a fire-ship, and has the fire-ship audio when attacking, but no visual?
This is not a bug. The Longship is a melee attack ship in Age of Chivalry.
A question, is this a new release or patch? if is a new building then for remove the old one I suppose...
It's a full release. After releasing a new version I always leave the old one up for a little while, in case people want to switch back or don't get the new version to work. It'll be removed in a week or two.
Very well, I will test it and check it. If exist a bug or something I will report it. :3
My anti-virus-programm detects a "TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen" in the triggers.dll file of the game. Do I have to add an exeption or is there enything wrong with the file?
It's a false positive, the file doesn't contain a virus.
Okay,thank you.
I love this first edition you created of this mod, and look forward to experiencing this new release. Thanks a million, Happertesch!
I can't install this version, it gives me the an error, something about missing the aoc.exe file.
Edit: Found a solution. If I install the previous version (2.0) first then there is no problem. (I was uninstalling the previous one then installing the new version)
fantastic, downloading for this weekend land party :P
Hello there! I am in desperate need of help :) Been trying for days to get this installed correctly, and can't believe the difficulty I'm having, but here goes
First off, I'm using the latest version of the HD version with rise of the rajas installed. I make a copy of this folder (With no mods or anything from the workshop) and put it in c:/games
I download and install aoc compatibility path (aoccs.net) and then I install Age of Chiv 2.1 to that folder.
It installs fine! I use the desktop shortcut and it launches AoE2 and gives me the Chivalry splash screen.
When I go to do a random game, it crashes as soon as it launches.
If I go to the custom campaign that is included, it does launch and begin, but the entire map stays black except for random visual artifacts strewn throughout, I.E. pieces of the top toolbar appear in the black fog of war randomly. I am able to select things using the idle villager/military button though.
Please give me some aid? :)
the creator had told many times, the mod doesn't work with the HD version

I have a problem with the installation of the new update, I get a window that says''aoc.exe not found '' how do I fix it?
its a great mod and i wanna play it whit a friend pls help :c
Great work, hugely underappreciated mod. There seems to be a bug with Flanders though, they don't receive a whole lot of 15th century techs even though their tech tree shows that they should, like alchemy (and all the units that require it), late game blacksmith, church and guild hall techs. Also Venice doesn't get handgunners, not sure if this is intentional (tech tree shows that they should).
Thank you for reporting this! You're right, there was a bug with this. I'll release an updated version soon, which will also address this problem.
I'll also take a look at Venice. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the visual tech tree (which sometimes has errors) or with the gameplay. Thanks again!
Why near before the installation of this mod finished there is an error message that tells "Cannot found "aoc.exe"" and I cannot launch Age of Chivalry Hegemony because there is no aoc.exe.Please fix this when you can...
