Imagine a world where the Allies didn't win the war, nor did the Axis. Instead, the war just continued on and on in an unsteady stalemate. Welcome, to the world of 1949. In this world Germany decided not to bomb London, but instead continued its attacks on Britain's airfields. Then, the Russians lost at Kursk. Finally, D-Day fails. With these victories, Germany has managed to halt the Allie's progress. In the Western Theatre, the Allies and the Axis each plan the invasion of the other's vital territories. In the Pacific, Japan and the United States are dueling over tiny islands with giant fleets and atomic weapons. Now, the stalemate is about to be broken. Germany is preparing an all out invasion of Britain. As tough and valiant as the Allied troops defending the Sceptered Isle are, some of their leaders are beginning to that they will be unable to hold against the Wehrmacht.
The new Army of Tomorrow command tree. It's not quite done, but I decided that it was close enough. The news article about it should shed some light on the abilities and upgrades this tree will give you.
Looks cool.
But i do perfer having More options...possibly a 'tree' with 4-5 branches with the most expensive powerful end game option being led to by multiple pathes.
For example going down any path eventually leads to the ultimate ability.
But you'd have several passives and activates along the way.
That way your 3 doctrines can have more then just 3 main strategies.
Like an N44 style tree? Or Blitzkreig sytle?
BK Techtree is really nice ;)
Would be fine having such one here :)
The command trees will look like this, for now. Adding more abilities will cause a huge extension in production time. However, maybe I'll do that someday.
It would be nice to have more options since the basic tech trees always were a bit small.
Nice concept. I feel like "Army of Tomorrow" is a little weak. Maybe name like the "Future of Warfare" or something of the nature. Merely suggesting though. Keep up the good work!
Army of Tomorrow is part of a theme in the naming of America's command trees. The other two are Army of Breaching and Army of Industry. Army of Tomorrow is meant to recall those old 1940s-50s advertisements that always referred to something new or futuristic as the [insert here] of tomorrow. Therefore, the Army of Tomorrow.
Oooh I get it. Nice!
Ak-47 :D
they could do it if they add russia aswell
It will probably be added at some point.
what those pictures present? I recognised Pershings, Nukes, Ak-47 (???)... but the rest?
no pershing thtas an
m 46 patton
From what I can tell, there's a M24 chaffe, sherman with smoke from engine and Pershing. On the other side AK47 ( Us doc with ak's? ). Then some squad running with a shield icon, proly sprint ability for squads and then a big Nuke lol. Looks interesting.
ot shouldn't be AK ( automat Kałasznikowa) but something other, like M-47 Infantry Assault Rifle, or IAR-47... etc
I personally suggest the M2 Carbine to be the rearnament weapon, a full auto version of the M1 Carbine, which can act similar to a StG in CQB. Or you can create your own weapon, ask the Eastern Front guys for help with that.
There will be no fictitious weapons in this mod, period. All projects must be historically precedented. Anyway, the full-auto Carbine might be cheap, true, but it lacks the stopping power of an AK-47, if my memory serves.
Ah yes, and the M 46 is included, but it is not called the Patton. George S. Patton is still alive, because he never crashes his car after the war.
Yes, but Americans wouldn't have an AK-47. And the M2 Carbine wasn't fictitious. It was produced in the time frame you intend to set this mod and it was used in the Korean war. If anything, give the US the M14. It's just a magazine fed Garand with a selector switch after all. Giving the U.S. the AK-47 is just as ridiculous an idea as making SS paratroopers in bright white uniforms.
I've already covered that the M-14 was produced in the 1950s. In any case, you don't have to play this mod if you don't like it. If you think you can do better, then go ahead, I'll play your mod instead of mine if its better.
By the way, where are there SS paratroopers wearing white? They were Hermann Goering Troops, if you are referencing what I think you are. Just wait until the strategy guides come out to know how their conspicuous nature can be used to your advantage.
if your looking for an assault rifle, maybe the M1941 Johnson machinegun, seeing how it had a 20 round box magazine it should be able to work. and it was used until 1961, not to mention the stock's design can be seen on the modern M16.
Is that a nuke that I see? o.O
Scary. Hope the explosion will be epic. :D
I wonder how the nuke explosion will be like
looks awsome, are you going to give the Germans a V3 rocket (nucular rocket) since the germans had a nucular project but the war ended before they built it
