Imagine a world where the Allies didn't win the war, nor did the Axis. Instead, the war just continued on and on in an unsteady stalemate. Welcome, to the world of 1949. In this world Germany decided not to bomb London, but instead continued its attacks on Britain's airfields. Then, the Russians lost at Kursk. Finally, D-Day fails. With these victories, Germany has managed to halt the Allie's progress. In the Western Theatre, the Allies and the Axis each plan the invasion of the other's vital territories. In the Pacific, Japan and the United States are dueling over tiny islands with giant fleets and atomic weapons. Now, the stalemate is about to be broken. Germany is preparing an all out invasion of Britain. As tough and valiant as the Allied troops defending the Sceptered Isle are, some of their leaders are beginning to that they will be unable to hold against the Wehrmacht.
The superior defensive capabilities of the Ostheer lie not only in the resilience of its troops, but also in its equipment. Naturally, the Ostheer Honor Guard posses' the top scores in both categories. This squad is designed to not move unless necessary. Every member is equipped with an MG-45, though only one carries an HMG version. In any case, all of them can suppress enemies with unmatched flexibility due to their practiced control of their MGs.
An enemy may try and flank this squad, but without an enormous force, or armor support, the enemy cannot crack the iron shell that both defends the Honor Guard, and destroys its enemies. To add to their deadliness, they can call down artillery barrages on nearby foes, thinning out the rabble. To call in an Honor Guard unit is expensive, and only two such units may be present on the field at the same time. Still, two groups of Ostheer Honor Guards is more than enough to give pause to any Allied commander.

Isn't that a bit op? A squad of mg's and a guy with Hmg and that call in arty strikes? Wonder what will the allies get to counter them.
You'd think that until you see the American's West Coast Veterans, new snipers, or their M-46 tank. "Breaking through is hard to do," but with Yankee snipers and armor, it is possible.
West coast veterans sound funny, they'r the Normandy West coast veterans? Could call them Dday vets or something, but still can't wait to see them.
The US get Pershings, mass-produced Pershings if it's true to real life.

Actually, I'm referring to the West Coast of the United States. The Japanese had invaded and held it for a few years. Thanks in large part to the West Coast Veterans, Japan lost all territory they taken in the United States. Still, I think D-Day vets might be an interesting unit, so I'll think about including them.
Extra resistance to MG suppression would make ALOT of sense for a "DDay vet" unit.
