I saw "Rideable demons" and thought that this was worth finding my Doom3 discs for.
Bolter texture looks pretty bad actually. Very flat, all wrong contrasts, no material definitions. Don't use this one please.

Of course I have. You are already using sculpts for normalmap projection for your characters, why not do the same for environment art? It is just as important.

This looks really off, guys. The environment art quality in this image is way below anything in the rest of the media update.
Get some better reference, sculpt some stalagtites in zbrush, and decorate.
Don't forget to use sharp edges, your caves look very rounded and slick.

Look at what else exists, mods or freeware games, and see what kind of stuff you would like to make that is different, that is better, that might land you a job. The other 40k mod and game teams might also be interested in your skills.

Yes. Since the existing factions are made to work in woodland/desert/urban environments. Snow maps would be cool as well, but I notice you saying that it will be a lot of work, but not impossible.

For the sake of your mod being alive, dont steal art assets from games.
If you are modding Starcraft, fine, use sprites from Starcraft. But don't bring in sprites or any other assets from any other game.
Too bad the heavy bolter view_model isn't really visible in-game.

Also, if you dont have a coder for this, you are done for. Find one immediately if you want to get anywhere. Or learn to code yourself.

Cool mod guys. Although, i think you are forgetting what the source engine can do. Add props to the maps, stuff that will fly around and break. Physics engines are made to be used, not to be forgotten :P
