I've used this before, for the disc version, though I couldn't get this to work now. Not sure if it's due to my game being the GOG version, or if there's a mod conflict with SRP. Either way, it's an easy fix.

Simply find the "stalkers_upgarde_info" file(yes, it's spelled correctly. don't change this file name, or you'll break the game). It'll be in the installation folder under "gamedata\configs\misc". You can open the file with something like Notepad++.

Find the technician's you want to enable the upgrades for. For roleplaying purposes I recommend doing this for the Clear Sky technician only. But you can change anything you want, obviously.

Use the search function to find ";scientific_outfit". Change it to "scientific_outfit". Basically you just remove the ";" before the name. This will enable the technician to make upgrades for the SEVA suit.

Also find the following commands below and change them to "true" without the quotation marks. This will enable upgrades without finding the USB modules. You can still find the modules, though, should you want to. Just be aware that using them would be impossible without faction reputation change, should you be hostile with the bandits(since they're the only ones that can fully upgrade the SEVA suit with vanilla settings).

up_sect_fh_scientific_outfit = false
up_sect_aceg_scientific_outfit = false
up_sect_bdfh_scientific_outfit = false

Save the file.

Not sure if this long installation is intended, but it gets stuck for me at 43.7% after about 5-10 minutes. So far 33 minutes in and still stuck. I downloaded the latest version.

However by pressing F5 you quick-save, it will replace old quick-saves. Smart save wont replace another, it will simply add a separate save for each time, just as it would when you save manually.

Basically only thing missing now in my opinion is smart save, where you press ESC and then S, just like the Complete mods. This way you don't have to spend so much time getting into the right menus and more time playing. Would definitely in my opinion be something to look over!

Strongest monster killed so far with two shots by birdshot is a pseudogiant. I believe the birdshot should be tweaked so it looses strength once it reached a threshold. Also it would be preferable to reduce the damage a bit as well.

Artifacts doesn't seem to respawn at all, which is kind of a shame. I would like them to respawn after each emission just as in CoP. This would make sense since emissions changes the zone and kind of "charges" anomalies.

Few upgrades for the AK variant weapons will accept PSO-1 x4 scope, but when upgrading it wont change existing(RDS) scope on one of the AK weapons to an x1.6 one. Several AK weapons will accept the x4 scope, but none of the 1.6 upgrades work.

Also some gun upgrades will give you nothing in return. The bulat armor(disguised as an exo), allows for two artifact upgrades, yet it starts with four out of five. Meaning one upgrade is wasted.

Shooting the R700 once and then quickly press the button while it reloads, will make it shoot automatically the next time a bullet is ready. This is kind of annoying.

I've experienced some odd issues with the wish granter in the CS Complete mod. When using the "map" function instead of the normal guide, you'll create a bug where when you enter that area where you teleported from next time, you will get "move to another area" screen. It will pop up every ten second or so.

Overall quite stable mod, only had few crashes(2-3) for unknown reasons. I recommend this compilation of mods, even if it has its flaws.

So far so good, tough I have to say that the birdshot is extremely strong against unarmored targets. This may be because it's so centered, compared to buckshot. Haven't tried it against anything heavier than military troops, and those die in one shot.

All creatures so far up to bloodsucker have died in one shot as well, kind of fun to see everything drop that fast. On other hand on master difficulty with this mod, I've experienced quite a few deaths, especially when leaving towards cordon against that damn machine-gunner.

Only complaint would be the very low starting weigh at 30KG, I'd prefer something like 40 instead. Guess I'll have few more pointers once I proceed pass the garbage area, which I'm currently in, in the progress of the Fang quest.

Anyone else having problem with bodies disappearing?

Vanilla doesn't have these problem but as soon as I install this mod it will begin. Bodies are disappearing in the middle of firefights, only leaving weapons behind.

I have no Stalker.LTX or Monsters.LTX files. Have re-installed the game and the mod several times. Have started a new game Vanilla and with this mod, to isolate the problem. No success however...

Anyone know how to fix this, let me know thanks!

Look up how large the 50th anniversary pack of James Bond in 1080p is, then you can complain. 6GB is nothing.

6GB is really nothing if you got even half decent Internet connection. Pick a mirror close to your location to make it go faster. By doing so you should have it down in no time.

Having the option will not hurt, it will only bring more people here to enjoy this mod. It's not a major game changing development in my opinion.

The mods general ideology will still be there. Taking criticism and suggestions is part of the everlasting development, then they can discuss and either implement them or not.

I don't see what you are trying to get at, we're all here because we obviously see potential in the mod. It seems like you're trying to undermine opinions here, simply because you don't like them.

BTW, you can delete posts... hence you don't need to edit a double post, simply remove it.

Hello, I'd like you to take a look at my recent comment(s) in the Misery mod section and let me know what you think. It regards the option of being able to avoid the class part of the mod, and run with standard equipment etc. I think this would attract more people. Thanks!

Because like many others I would like to have the rest of the futures in Misery that makes it harder, but not the class system.

In my opinion a class system only brings annoyance, to be forced to make a permanent choice that will affect your whole playtrough. This is something I would like to avoid. To me, the Stalker series is about freedom, to be able to do what you want without barely any limitations. I'm totally fine with the original setup you get at start.

I as many others don't play the vanilla since it has its issues. For example, environmental bugs, quests and dialogue are just few of the issues that you may encounter.

It would not hurt to be given the option of choice. It probably wouldn't be hard to implement either. I do not have the experience, but this talented mod probably have.

I'm highly interested to try this out again, it was a challenge. However I didn't like the class system, that's why I quit early. I would prefer that you start with the original weapons, weight and speed system and then acquire the weapons you want afterwards like usual.

I mentioned this idea long ago, seems to have been lost amongst the rest of the ideas. At least an option to skip the class part would make me want to play this wholehearted and give it an honest try.

Hello, I have a question. The mod looks beautiful by the way. Will it work with Stalker Complete? A simple yes or no will suffice. Thanks.

I just found a stash directly east of Cordon near a pile of big rocks and anomalies. It's a backpack with the ToZ-34 hunting shotgun. I guess it all worked out ether way :-)

I had to kill some new soldiers by the bridge, 3rd time I guess that would be. Looted 2 dead bandits and 3 dead loners near the bridge as well. IDK which one I got the coordinates from. I'm thankful either way.

I've passed Garbage, met Barkeep and currently supposed to visit the lab in the Dark Valley. About when do you say it should pop up in Barkeep's inventory?

Cannot get it to work, Sidorovich wont sell it. I'm using Stalker Complete with an otherwise fully updated game. Checked all other major traders as well. Guess I have to keep look around for another mod, I'm only after this gun specifically, to bad they didn't include it in the original release.

Would be awesome if you could be able to play without any of the specializations and even if I can agree they add something new to the game I still like the option to go with the standard setup. Have no problem with the other stuff, looks really great.
