Yes. We have been trying to find a reliable character animator since 1.0
Apparently they are super rare.

He is. Been doing some fine work again for the mod as you can see!
"Waaaa stop liking what I don't like!"
Valerian, if I were you I would take a break from the internet and think about what I was doing with my life. Am I pointlessly flaming a project and its team members for no reason other than the fact that I'm selfish and unhappy? I am? Well, ****, I better stop that and move on and pick up a hobby in game design or something.
Anyway, I can't give you a refund on account that we didn't charge you a penny to play the game...so uh, sorry?
Congrats JC2MP. Incredible work. I'll take 2nd any day to that!
She is just on an incline that is REALLY hard to see.
We had numerous issues with those maps and had to scrap them, unfortunately. Re-making them has been on our minds, but they are pretty far down on the priority list right now.
Alternative light source introduced in patch .4 - you press F to bring it out and left click to strike it on. If you have a flashlight in your inventory you just hold the F key to bring out the lighter. Everyone has a lighter automagically.
You clearly do not understand how game development works. You shouldn't feel bad for complaining, you should feel bad for insulting our testers. They worked hard to make sure the launch is as smooth as it is. It's a pretty damn smooth launch with the server browser issues aside.
You should be thanking them.
Thank you for helping us!
To all who didn't get a key in time, hang tight! We are barely over a day away from full release. These keys were put out in hopes to get our servers full to see if any horrible things happen that we didn't know about before.
Are you sure they were crawling?
I would just wait until we release on Steam. That way you can always pause and continue the download when it is convenient for you.
We will be working on putting out tutorials for all things NMRiH soon. Right now we are too busy getting ready for release, but it is on our to-do list!
Unfortunately no. Consoles would never allow us to put a free game on their systems. If developing for consoles was indie friendly like the PC, then we would. That will never happen though.
Thank Valve for supporting mod and indie developers. :)
Hey fans, if you want to help us find bugs in our closed beta, post a link to your GitHub account along with an email in a comment!
This was a few weeks ago. I believe the Molotov now correctly Molotovs.
Those are combat shovels, much different than a common garden shovel. When we get maps that take place in eastern Europe, maybe then we'll add in that shovel.
It's really hard to use an edge on a shovel with only upper body strength. That is why when digging you have to use your body weight and legs. Using the weight of the shovel to drive it as a blunt weapon is more efficient. :)
Yes, but it just seems so weird to think about alternatives when I know the outcomes way down the line, haha.
Does the main events in the book(s) play out the same regardless of what you do in the mod? It would be ideal if you are just dropped in the middle of it free to do as you please only without the ability to change the story. I do not like the idea of turning the tides of a battle that should have been lost (or won) in the books.
In case we ever get a dev kit we would like to know people who can test it out in the future. So no it's not priority at all. Making sure the game is as bug free as possible, making sure it doesn't crash, and is as lag free as possible is the priority with this closed beta.
After stumbling at the start, I finally made it to Skadovsk. Then I had to wrestle with the head lamp after going to rob the stalkers. It just broke for some reason so I had to restart. Got that working then killed the bandits and went to get my reward from the stalkers. I got shoved into the fire and was killed by it when they all of a sudden felt there was something dangerous nearby. Being around NPCs is a pain because you are unable to get close to them at all. Anyway, I can't seem to get my reward from them. No one has a prompt for speaking. I have the mission for receiving the reward, but no one wants to give it. The amount of items added is insane. It will take hours for me to sort through it all and learn what they do. Tool tips need to be centered on screen, can't read some of them at times. So for a beginner it truly is a misery to play. Sound, art, and presentation are all AAA+ though so good work!
I had to do a double take on which mod this screenshot was for. I was that stunned by the brilliance.
Probably not a month. Lost motivation? We placed well, barely missing second place. We have so much content being created that we are more focused on that than providing updates at this moment. When the assets start coming together you'll see some great stuff.
Don't let the reviews play the game for you. Try it yourself and see if you like it or not.
That all makes sense to me, but damage to the glass does not. Someone else mentioned above that it would essentially be like being shot in the eye. This is what I was really referring too. It's far too disorienting and very unrealistic for it to be damaged like that.
I am all for realism, but I couldn't even ******* see what was going on. You need to find that balance of fun and realism. The overlay of the gas mask... it is beyond intrusive. Please reconsider this design or at least include it as an optional thing.
This is a glitch that tends to happen to a lot of mods sometimes. It's hl2.exe
